These wings were FIII-YAA!!!
Preparing for boxing cardio at Mayweather Boxing + Fitness across the street, I came to Fire Wings for a power lunch of a 10-piece bone-in/boneless wing combo (w/ side & drink).
Peanut Butter wings- I had to have the peanut butter wings, as almost all wing shops don't carry this flavor. Think the peanut sauce from an order of chicken/beef satay, lightly slathered onto chicken wings. These wings had a good amount of heat, and I enjoyed eating them.
Saigon Street wings- Aka fish sauce/pok pok wings, the Saigon Street wings were delicious! A bit salty, a bit sweet - these were my favorite. Could've used more heat, but satisfying, nonetheless.
Garlic noodles- I chose garlic noodles as my side, and was surprised at the amount. Expecting a side portion, I received enough for an actual meal. Served warm, not hot, these were good. But, as with garlic noodles in general, I find them to be monotonous. I'd prefer a preparation w/ such accoutrements as carrots, cabbage, celery & Chinese peas, similar to chow mein or pancit.
Service was good. I placed my order right away, with a short wait before receiving my food. Parking is free for 90 minutes at the 2nd & PCH structure, with additional alongside the marina & across the street. Fire Wings is located between Shake Shack & Whole Foods, facing PCH.
I had a great, filling lunch, which I would burn off later boxing at Mayweather Boxing + Fitness. I now have another food option when I'm visiting 2nd & PCH, again...
Read moreSuch a great addition to 2nd and PCH! The interior is very modern and clean! Really enjoy how they have TV’s to watch games as well. There is also outdoor seating! But on to the important stuff - THE FOOD! There is a great selection of classic, dry rub, and fusion flavors to choose from. If you don’t know what to get, they offer samples too! Went with the bone in peanut butter, dragon, Malaysian curry rub, and lemon pepper. The wings came out perfectly fried and crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. Each wing was JAM PACKED with flavor! Honestly can’t pick which one was my favorite, because I liked all of them! Fire wings does fusion correctly and execution is spot on. They really deliver on being unique with quality taste. They use quality ingredients including never frozen wings. They account for every detail including super fresh and crunchy veggies. Their dipping sauces are all made in house. It’s not your average ranch! And also the marinara had big tomato chunks which I liked. Another highlight was the stuffed jalapeños! I really liked the batter on the outside and it was perfectly creamy on the inside. You can also wash down all this tasty food with beer on tap! Service was friendly and attentive. Will be...
Read morethe food was good but let’s start at the beginning i was starving so i deciding to go to the local chicken wing stop so we ordered and waited about 5 mins thats when the first problem starts there was barely any juice selection or soda selection so i had to get sum mid water then we decided to dine out when i sat down to to eat i noticed how small the wings were but the fries were really good but anyway my legs started to itch so i just continued to munch on the abnormalally small wings then after i was done eating i start to each both of my legs then by the time i’m in my car i notice about 5 bites on both legs combined cause i was wearing shorts but that’s no reason i should walk out with that many bites so DONT GO HERE OR EAT OUTSIDE i think it was the fake bushes but they were mosquitos if i’m not mistaken this mid meal was no where near worth it for the itchy...
