Lona's City Limits Cantina — Restaurant in Long Beach

Received an email from JetBlue Mastercard with recommendations near me in Long Beach so we decided to give Lona's City Limits Cantina (LCLC) a try. We arrived around 6pm...we stood by the bar waiting for the single bar tender for a while. She kept refilling draft beers for a few customers despite knowing that we had been waiting and those customers came after us. We left and walked over to Roxanne's to a completely different and more welcoming lounge bar and eatery. To our surprise they were also playing the Chiefs vs Dolphins game...so it was a PLUS so we stayed. The cocktails at Roxanne's were GREAT and unique. The food was fresh and also with a twist. The icing on the cake was the SERVICE was AMAZING! LCLC is definitely not a place I or any of our friends would recommend. Maybe it caters more to locals base on...

Went for the first time on a Friday nite. It was a pretty chill place until the taco lady came & our group had to move so she set up her food where we were sitting. We were all bunched in a corner & in the way of the ppl playing pool. I didn't feel like ppl who are paying for drinks should have to move for some person selling food. I know for me I won't be going back there especially on a Friday...not sure if the taco lady goes any other nite. I just felt like it was an inconveniece to be moved and rude. The owner/manage should consider their paying...

Matt was awesome. However the blonde, female bartender that came in after him was on her phone the entire time. Yes she provided adequate service to the customers by providing drinks, but she was more involved in her phone conversation than engaging the paying guests at the bar top. When my friend called her out on her poor service, she became nasty and verbally aggressive towards us. She told the person that she was talking to that we were rude customers by interrupting her phone conversation. We will never come back to this...
