NYC Chop Cheese — Restaurant in Long Beach

I’ve ordered doordash from NYC Chop Cheese three times now and it’s been a hit each time. I introduced my coworkers to them and they all love the sandwiches they’ve gotten too. Please note! I’m native LB and I have absolutely no idea how “authentic” this is to a NY chopped cheese or a Philly cheesesteak. The chopped cheese was so good, but honestly I think I might like the cheesesteak better. They’re both amazing though, and the large sandwich is enough for me to eat one half and save the other for the next day. They reheat well! Each time I’ve received three sauces, I’m not sure exactly what they are because they weren’t indicated on the doordash ordering page (as far as I can see). They seem to be a ketchup, cilantro sauce, and thin garlic aioli (which I thought was ranch the first time lol). They’re all pretty good but definitely not necessary for the sandwich, especially if you order yours with cheese. The bread is a pretty ideal roll, thin enough so you’re not chewing endlessly, but still flavorful. The meat seems to be of good quality, I really like the cheesesteak because of the lacy edges. Fries are standard, but good! They put some kind of light seasoning that adds a slight tang, which is quite tasty. The only area of improvement would be their doordash menu. I ordered a combo two times (comes with fries and a drink) but there was no way (as far as I saw) to pick which drink you wanted. I simply called and told them what I wanted, so overall it’s pretty nbd. I’ve never been in the shop, so I’m not sure about how that experience is, but the person over the phone was polite and friendly.

NYC Chop Cheese here in Long Beach?! My Eyes did not deceive me, right near 4th & Cherry. Parking is crazy but dont give up trying to find a parking spot, the Chop Cheese is well worth it. The inside is kinda small but they do have seating, a restroom is available for customers, and a self service beverage counter So, I have seen places like this on Food Network but I never er thought id get lucky enough to find one in Long Beach. Upon entering we were greeted by Shawntail, she was bursting with friendliness & personality. She explained what a Chop Cheese was & thats exactly what we wanted. We told her to make it "her" way with all the fixing. Also ordered onions rings and fries. The Chop Cheese was so good, chopped ground beef with bell peppers, onion and loaded with gooey cheese that was so tasty. We had ours with tomato and lettuce. Im a definite fan! The onion rings had the perfect crunch, friends had a seasoning on them that made them special. They give you this sauce, kinda greenish im not sure what it is but so freaking good. I drizzled it over the sandwich and my taste buds were dancing. Yes, that good! Chef Wish, was hard at work getting our masterpiece of a sandwich put together. If you are looking for the BEST Philly chopped cheese in town, look no further you have found it!! This place is nothing short of amazing from the sandwhiches, to the best onion rings with the PERFECT crunch, awesome breakfast sandwiches served all day; you get a taste of NYC eats right here in Long Beach! All this would not be possible w/o the amazing staff that keeps me coming back for more.
