Extremely disappointed. Ordered the special (grouper) and it was NOT good. I appreciate being creative and usually enjoy trying new variations of food but this one was like a rough cornmeal that had a bad texture and poor flavor all around. I travel a lot for work (domestic and international) and eat nice, exciting dinners routinely. It’s a rare occasion that I’m so dissatisfied with a meal that I can’t eat it. On this evening out with friends, I was looking forward to supporting the locals and enjoying a nice meal in my hometown. However, I couldn’t even eat the meal I was served even thought it had a nice presentation. A friend at the table also tried my dish to to possibly trade dinners but agreed it was not good. Honestly, I would have been fine if I could have switched it out for something else in place of it. However, when the waitress finally passed by later, my friends told her about the dish but nothing further happened. She did not offer an alternative. She did not remove it from the bill. She did not have a manager come talk with me (and I did not want to ask so as to avoid causing a scene). She just picked up my full plate when she picked up their empty dishes without hesitation. It was not about money as I am very willing to pay more for a nice meal. In addition, it took sooo long to receive our beverages every time we ordered and there were only a few tables with people in the restaurant. Rather, it was the principle and the lack of customer service/concern as I paid $37 for a dish I couldn’t eat. It left me with a bitter taste in more ways than one. You only get one first impression!

Stellar Service, Food, and Cocktails! This place is really special. Located in Downtown Long Beach Mississippi, the motif is an eclectic blend of a modern vibe and turn of the century soda fountain/pharmacy. Not many places earn a gold star ⭐️ for their cocktails from me and this place did not disappoint. We had the Old Fashioned and the Club Clover. Both perfection. The egg white on the Club Clover was tastefully done, making its presence known without being obnoxious. Perfectly layered libations. Kudos to the bartender. We started with the Molasses Cornbread with Gold Tap Honey Butter (spoon bread ) [insert drool face] and the pork belly. Entrees consisted of the NOLA Style BBQ Shrimp and the Café Burger. The bbq shrimp was classic southern fare and did not disappoint but The Burger… which was served with rosemary and garlic fries really stole the show. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Can’t wait to return with more room to try the desserts!

Radish is cute, quiet, and quaint. A bit of the opposite of us during our visit with 4 adults and 3 children. So, I am quite happy we had made reservations when they opened and likely did not interrupt anyone else's experience. Radish is also treading the line of 'fine dining' without the suit and tie, hot towel, and stuffiness that can be attached to that sort of experience. With the well-made 'out-of-the-box' (not to be confused as made out of a box) dishes that are quite remarkable. Their menu is well-focused and not overly bloated. The prices are a shade on the high side, but you get what you pay for through tasty well thought out dishes. This place is not run-of-the-mill and you can tell that meticulous detail is taken on every dish coming out of the kitchen. Violet, our server for the evening, was very good. As was all the other staff we had the pleasure of associating with. Kudos to all involved. I will be returning.

A tiny gem buried off the lone downtown road in Long Beach, MS. What it lacks in size it makes up for with stellar service and amazing food at affordable prices (especially given the size of their offerings and the recent inflationary carnage.)

Seriously, this is the BEST eatery in Long Beach right now and raises the bar for all other local establishments. Quaint and well done decorations make a small dining room feel comfortable. The menus are built around local products. The quality of the food is amazing (one of the most amazing pieces of bacon I've had in years for example.) And the service staff epitomizes the definition of Southern Hospitality. They have an interesting drink menu but didn't push the alcohol (which is rare and appreciated!)

Brunch here was extremely enjoyable. My Monte Cristo was pan friends and off the charts delicious. Washed it down with a glass of freshly squeezed OJ. (Who offers fresh squeezed OJ these days? (THANK YOU, RADISH!))

Folks in our party also tried and enjoyed the BLT (which was enormous, three meals for the person who ordered it) the burger (which was clearly handmade and big enough to overlap the bun) and the chicken sandwich. My only quip is that a Nashville Hot Chicken should be breaded with the spices so you taste the near-atomic heat with every bite. (Not everyone has had original Nashville Hot Chicken so perhaps drizzling the sauce on separately will not be an issue for them.) Still thoroughly enjoyed the size and preparation of the chicken, other than the one quip.

The size of the dining area may be a problem during peak times and will definitely challenge large parties. I've made reservations two out three times I went and never had any issues.

I hope other locals take notice of Radish and see what is possible in the area. Please (PRETTY PLEASE!) support establishments like this so we can have...

Let me start off by saying that we liked the ambience and the service was excellent. However, the food was another story. This was our first time dining for dinner and one of the things that we like to do is to try several things on the menu. We started off with 3 of the small plates: crab beignets, fried okra and the seared pork belly. The pork belly arrived in very large squares and looked barely cooked much less seared. The fatty portion was barely cooked and very unappealing. I've eaten pork belly many times and this was the worst that I've tried. When trying the fried okra, my wife commented that the coating did not taste like the girl grits cornmeal batter as advertised in the menu. When we questioned this, our server checked with the kitchen and came back and informed us that they had run out of the cornmeal and replaced the batter with regular flour. We should have been informed that so we could decide if we still wanted it. My wife has issues with gluten and regular flour is a problem. They tried passing it off hoping it would not be noticed. What should have been done at the very least was taken off the check. It wasn't. We then ordered two of the dinner salads and they were fine. For our entree' we ordered the poor man's filet and the shrimp scampi. The filet was ordered medium and was slightly over cooked. The beef was tuff which was surprising since it was supposed to be wagyu beef. The Barq's sweet potatoes that came with the filet was drowning in the au jus and was not separated . This made the sweet potatoes very runny. With the very small menu and the slow time when we dined, I expected a much better dining experience. I felt I needed to share this experience in hopes the management will look at it and see where they can improve. So many times patrons will have a bad food experience and...
