Sakura Japanese sushi&hibachi — Restaurant in Long Beach

We order take out from here relatively frequently, and usually we don’t mind paying the higher prices that they charge because they are convenient and the food is usually good. However, we called in our dinner order today, and we got the same things we normally get which includes 2 orders of the crab stick sushi rolls. We picked up our order and get home and start unpacking the bag and realized that instead of giving us the 2 orders of sushi rolls, they accidentally gave us 2 orders of crab Rangoons. Not a big deal, accidents happen. I call up there to see if we could come exchange the Rangoon’s for our crab stick rolls that we initially ordered and the girl instantly had a really bad attitude. She finally agreed to let us exchange the food, and after going all the way back to the restaurant, she snatched the bag of Rangoons from us and she was just super rude the entire time. It really wasn’t a big deal to us, but takeout food, especially from this restaurant, is very expensive and we wanted the food that we ordered. There was no need to have such a bad attitude over a miscommunication that occurred on HER part. Not sure if we will be coming back here after...

Shocked at how good this place was. Quality and price are what one would wish for in San Francisco. I live in the New Orleans metro area and know many Japanese restaurants here, and I've also had Japanese in many places on the west coast, where the standards are very high (my first Japanese meal there was over 50 years ago, before many Americans ever dared to try Sushi/Sashimi) because, well, lots of Japanese residents, business people, etc. who demand and know the real deal. Everything here - sushi, sashimi, tempura - was perfect in ingredients, preparation and presentation, and all for a super price. So hurry, because this place can't stay in this out of the way, off the beaten path - in Mississippi, no less! - for very long. Just too good not to...

Absolutely the best sushi I have ever had. I have been eating tuna and salmon sushi and sashimi for years, it's my favorite food. The amazing tuna roll absolutely blew me away. The Wasabi and ginger were real, and fresh. The fish was the freshest I've ever had. The octopus Appetizer was perfect. The hot green tea was perfect. The fried rice was perfect. The eggdrop soup was perfect. If you're looking for amazing sushi, a clean and calm atmosphere, and prompt and perfect service, absolutely try Sakura. You will not be disappointed.
