Galindos Kitchen — Restaurant in Long Branch

8/16/24 On 8/11/24 I placed an order for delivery for 3 orders of shrimp tacos. They are supposed to come with lettuce, tomato and onion and none had onion. The shrimp, though on the larger side, wer enot deveined which led to a dissgusting, dirty, gritty experience. On top of that, they were already hard and someone who cooked them seared them so they were very hard and dry. On first bite, my husband and I agreed that they were gross. We had to eat and run out and I called to ask if the owner's daughter was there. The woman answering the phone doesn't speak English well so I advised I would message the owner, Saul. I sent the owner 6 attachments which included the pictures in this review as well as a video. I lined up the shrimp in one of the pictures and you can clearly see they're not deveined/cleaned AND how much black, dirty vein came out of one of the shrimp! The tortillas were nuked and stuck together and even the cheese was melted on the tomato/lettuce and it certainly wasn't because the food was hot from condensation, it was because it was nuked or left for along time under a warmer. I called in to ask if the owner or daughter was in and (rude_ "Yvone" caught an attitude and advised the daughter doesn't come in anymore and the owner isn't around, which seems very "off". No wonder he never responded to my text! Yvonne told me that once there are 3 orders from a customer with complaints, they "do not serve the customer anymore because we can't be losing money". I responded, the last time I called in it was because I ordered a meal which included sausage and there was none, which is why texted the owner pictures of the untouched food upon arrival and he sent the sausage over via delivery. Furthermore, I can't be losing money if you serve food that it not fit for eating. She responded, "Well you have to let us know the same day." I responded, "I did! I told you that I called and the woman who answers your phone told me the owner's daughter was not in, she didn't offer any other solution except to write my # down and I responded that I'd just text the owner, which I did immediately and he never responded!" She responded again, "Well we can't serve a customer who has problems with the food, even if it's not your fault, because we can't lose money." I told her she can keep her tacos and the money and that I was leaving negative reviews with the pictures for Google, Yelp and Facebook and I disconnected the line. $40 for filthy tacos, + delivery fee and tip...

Do not order from this place. We ordered using door dash at 6:15pm. Our dash driver informed us that the workers didn’t care about our order. We waited and waited and never received any calls from the restaurant that our order was not going to be delivered or filled. We had 4 adults and 4 children who went home from the beach without eating. I called and spoke to the owner’s daughter at 9 pm who informed us that the dash orders kept coming in and they could not keep up with the orders. So instead of shutting off the app or not accepting the orders or calling back their customers, they figured they’d just take them and fill them whenever. It didn’t matter how long it took as long as they got paid. Not only did they not feed us but the had door dash drivers lost out as well. Terrible way to run a business especially in times. Many options in long branch, do not make the same...

Great things do come in small packages.

They may only have seating for maybe a dozen and a half, but if you're lucky enough to be in one of those seats, you're in for a good time.

Went with a colleague after work. We've had their food delivered a few times to the office, figured it was time to try it in person. Turns out, that was one of those great decisions.

We ordered chips and salsa and a few sodas for starters. Chips were fresh, salsa was hot and flavorful. He got Carnitas, I got a burrito pastor, with pork and pineapple. Both were filling and delicious.

Service was friendly and attentive. Plenty of off street parking. Lively interior with great music and atmosphere. Extensive menu options too.

And it was $26.00.

$26.00.

Twenty Six Dollars.

I would have paid double. It was that good.

Do yourself a favor and just go eat here....
