WOW - would have given MORE STARS if possible. Chef Covas Catering is FANTASTIC! Do not hesitate to use them. We had a baby shower with COVID safety in mind, with upscale boxed lunches, fruit bruschetta, and a two-tiered cake and everyone in attendance raved about the food. And believe me we have some very discerning foodies in the group. The prices were very reasonable for the high quality of food and presentation that we received. Chef Covas and her operations director Evelyn were very professional and accommodating. They saw our vision for a Teddy Bear Picnic-themed event and ran with it. They never had a negative or "can't be done" attitude. Extremely professional and willing to please. Despite a mix-up with the cake, everyone stated that the flavors were amazing and the cake was excellent! Best fondant (plus buttercream) that I ever tasted. Because of the cake mix-up, Chef Covas sent a small gift for the honoree and that was so touching and meaningful to be so worried to make things right. In addition, it is so impressive that Chef Covas was a Chopped and Supermarket Sweeps champion. Our guests were truly impressed and the guest of honor, who watches all types of cooking shows, was thrilled that we chose Chef Covas as our caterer. Also, Bernadette, our server for the day, was the best. She handled everything with, again, professionalism and calm. Couldn't have pulled this off without her. We had a mix of sun, rain, wind, and sun again. She was right on top of the various changed and pivots we had to implement. Can't wait to use Chef Covas Catering again...

We hired Chef Covas for our medium (~150) sized wedding this summer and were THRILLED with the entire experience. Chef Covas and her team pulled together an absolutely beautiful event! Everyone we encountered from her team was professional, knowledgeable, and extremely customer driven.

The food was wonderful - we had 8-10 passed appetizers, huuuuge mediterranean/charcuterie spread, a full plated dinner, and assortment of desserts. Our guests raved about the food! My husband and I have been in the restaurant industry for years so the quality of the food for our wedding was critical and they blew it out of the park. Steaks not overcooked, chicken not dry, fish was flavorful and fresh. I wish I could go back to my own wedding just to eat!

We also hired Chef Covas as a day of coordinator; after 4+ years of being engaged and moving the wedding twice (thanks COVID) I just genuinely did not have the capacity to manage the event; Lauren stepped in and really made the whole night perfect. Everything looked beautiful, Lauren is super personable and easy to work with, our families really liked her and everyone was relieved not to have to think about much! Having the caterer also be DOC was a good choice since the two roles are intertwined so closely.

Chef Covas Catering did our New Year's Eve wedding at the Long Branch Distillery - They were awesome! The food was fantastic and our point person Samantha was a pro! Lauren, Owner & Executive Chef, was very easy to work with in terms of planning the menu and offering suggestions - she clearly knows what she's doing and made my fiance' (now wife) very comfortable. All our requests were honored and the team was super-attentive and responsive during the event. They nailed the vibe we were looking for and our guests were extremely complimentary of their work.
