Neil's Kitchen — Restaurant in Long Branch

I ordered a whole Italian sub for delivery, I spent about $30 (tip included) which is a little pricier than other places, but that's not docking my review at all, the reason why is because that sub was so good.

At other restaurants that I get Italian subs from, I ask for extra vinegar and sometimes I feel like they don't do it right, but when I ate this sub, I don't know man there was something just so right about that vinegar. Another thing I really noticed was the bread, something tells me it was fresh, like it was baked that day, The Bread had a crispiness to it, so when I bit into it, it wasn't soggy and it paired well with the moist insides.

I cannot order from this place all the time, money issues and such, but when I order again I'm definitely picking it up, I'm eager to try the other items from this place.

It was my first time there and the food was poor to say the least. Absolutely the driest burger I’ve ever had ANYWHERE. Super expensive for the quality of the food. The burger was so dry, it was almost like eating beef jerky. It took them over 35 mins to make a well done burger and fries. Not to mention they forgot my fries. They sat behind the counter while I eat my burger, then they were given to me at the end after I finished my burger. It’s sad that the next time I’m around here I’d think about going to a fast food joint before coming back to this dumpster. I highly recommend everyone to stay away. I had to write this review today. I have been going to Neil's for years and tell everyone I can to visit them. Hands down best sandwiches anywhere! I just got back from a trip to Philadelphia and went to what was my all-time favorite cheesesteak place in all of Philly "John's Roast Pork" (and yes, I've tried them all). As I was eating it all I could think of was how much better Neil's cheesesteak is! It's not even in the same ballpark! Please do yourself a favor and go get one! My other notable favorites are The Sauteed Eggplant, The Pastrami and Swiss, The Fried Meatball, and The Cheeseburger Sub. All Insanely good.
