Scala's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Long Branch

Didn't put extra ingredients (for which I paid) on my pizza. Had to come back just to hear that they are "under the cheese" (like if I didn't check before going to this place for the second time in an hour). After they didn't find anything under the cheese, they've just put the stuff on the top of already cold pizza like nothing has happened and told me that now I'm "full set". Nobody apologized, of course.

The visit to this place resulted for me in ruined Saturday evening, getting disguisting cold pizza for almost $25, and feeling like an idiot. I didn't argue as the place was really crowded and I didn't want to spoil the evening for people around but I promise that it was the last visit of me and my friends to this establishment.

Also have to notice that it is not the first time I'm facing questionable customer service here (primarily, on the weekends). The staff often looks like they're leasing me money or doing another huge favor. Always had to ask to put more sauce on pizza as otherwise it was served really dry. I was asking to do this today but, as compared to the previous visits, didn't get it even with the second attempt.

Well, at least I will never have to...

We are true pizza foodies. I was not disappointed with the Sicilian pie at Scala's. The crust was light and airy. The cheese and sauce had a nice balance for a perfect bite! The staff was warm and welcoming on a rainy Saturday afternoon. Good music and friendly vibe! We highly recommend! Enjoy! 12/29/23 I revisited Scalas tonight, and was reminded why I gave a 5 star review 9 months ago. This time I shared a garden salad with my husband. The split portion was perfect and the salad was cold, fresh and crisp. I followed that with the Sicilian pie. It was light and airy, just like I remembered. It could have had less oregano, but I'm not a lover of oregano. My favorite part was the atmosphere. Marge and Kaylee were super sweet and gave us Rockstar service. The other patrons were having good conversations amongst themselves, as I soaked in all of the beautiful holiday decorations. The music was low but perfectly audible. My husband was happy watching the Hockey game that Marge put on for him. Overall, the experience was as I remembered if not better. Keep up the good...

Scalas restaurant and pizzeria are a dream come true for any events or catering you may need a vendor for. We had our rehearsal dinner at the bungalow hotel in Long Branch, NJ this past June - and Scala and his team were absolutely amazing. My husband and I went for a consultation at the pizzeria where we were sent away with canals and amazing service. He really is an angel! The food was unbelievable! UNBELIEVABLE! All of our guests kept asking who we catered from - and there was so much food for what we paid - we couldn't believe it! Super affordable but VERY Authentic Italian food that could not have been better. they even supplied us with burners and delivered perfectly on time. My husband and I feel so bad we weren't able to leave a tip because the Hotel handled the delivery as we were rehearsing. We definitely plan on going back to give everyone eat Scala's a BIG HUG and to let them know how special they made our rehearsal dinner! We definitely were won over by how personable, professional, and wonderful the people were - but the food speaks for itself!!...
