I have a new favorite Italian place!! I went last night, reluctantly, I wanted Mexican but it was my hubbies night to pick, boy did I feel silly when dinner was over lol! The apps, warm golden beets with ricotta, salt cod fritters, both done perfectly and amazing! My husband's black pasta with mixed seafood fra diavlo sauce was, hands down, the best pasta dish I have ever eaten....I prefer to cook when I want pasta and seafood, I feel like everyone overcooks it...not this, the pasta had the perfect bite (and you could tell the water was salted properly)...the seafood wasn't overcooked, and the sauce was HEAVEN! I had ravioli in vodka sauce, perfection! We were stuffed but the lovely waitress suggested some little pastry filled with amazing cheese like filling, paired perfectly with a black coffee! We even brought home 2 for my Mom and Son, as soon as we got home I made them taste it, my 7 year old took a bite, and then literally fell over laughing and said, "oh my god Mommy, what is that?!?!?!"!!! Well done, Biagio's, best dinner we have had in...
Read moreA big thank you to Carmela and Biagio for last night's awesome dinner at their place Biagio's Italian Gourmet Specialties and Trattoria Biagio We went there last night with friends and all of the food was fantastic. We started off sharing appetizers. The calamari was a perfect balance of sweet and spicy. The arancini and shrimp specials were great as well. For dinner I had the Seafood Fra Diavolo with the black ink pasta - just outstanding and so much food I took half of it home. My wife had the chicken savoy and loved it. The St. Joseph's pastries for dessert were the biggest I have seen and were delicious way to cap off the night. Stopped at the bakery on the way out and picked up bread and other goodies. Service was great and both Carmela and Biagio checked in to see if everything was OK. Lastly, all of the Covid protocols were in place - tables were spread out and masks were worn by all staff - we felt comfortable dining indoors. Just a great night and place. ...
Read moreCookies and crumb cake were good, and I was happy they had the door open unlike the bakery down the street that has a closed door for patrons. Unfortunately the experience was marred by an older, short haired blonde woman working behind the counter. Bad attitude, and when I asked if they had crumb cake she said no...but then when I looked in the glass case they had coffee cake, which to a non-baker is almost indistinguishable from crumb cake. She also put the wrong cookie (got 4 types) in the bag because she was half paying attention despite no other customers, and said nothing to me upon checking out, even after I said "have a nice day.". Also, at a place like this (especially being Italian) their coffee/espresso quality is sub par. 4 stars is a bit generous, but I'd tell you to give it a try, hopefully you have a...
