Once again I received cold, gross food. It is not that complicated to cook this type of food or to keep it in the warmer, but some how this location misses the mark each time I eat here. When I called to complain the person answered the phone in spanish, prompting me to ask if I was calling wendys. Now, it is a great skill to able to communicate in spanish, a skill that I am not fluent in. When it comes to this situation it left me without a resolution for the person I was speaking with, the manager, does not speak english. The language barrier was so bad that when I asked her if she would like getting food of this quality, to which she responded yes, she would like it. Those are some strange food preferences there wendys manager. So I was left reheating my fries and chicken nuggets, and I am not sure if you have ever had reheated fries/nuggets in the microwave, but they are soggy and gross. And yes I am aware that my food choices have not changed much since I was a kid, though I do willing eat vegetables now... Sometimes. So, go here if you want to pay for cold food, reheat the food which kinda defeats the point of getting it in the first place, and especially if you want to have a confusing conversation in...
Read moreWe usually go to the Wendy's on Main St. They always get our orders right. They are fast, friendly. The one on Hover, we go to less frequently, only if we've been at Petsmart or Sprouts which are nearby. Tonight, we walked in--were the ONLY customers. We ordered to go. 2 cod sandwiches, one a combo. 4 other people came in after us. They all got served before us. Workers standing around Supervisor looking clueless, glanced at our empty bag & didn't say a word to the slacker workers Cod was terrible, tasted old. Overcooked. Slimy "tartar sauce" which was nothing but mayo with a little relish globbed on. YUCK What the heck? Why are 2 Wendy's in the Same town so different??? Please retrain the manager. Please hire people who give a damn about customers I wanted to make a complaint, get our $$ back. Husband was en route to clinic due to injured leg so he said no. Won't come back The woman who took our order just stood there. Another woman finally came & filled it & she Did say "sorry for the wait" but the other workers were just milling around doing busy work I worked in a fast food joint when I was a teenager. Our boss would have FIRED us for being...

To the young teen who was being told by their manager to stop taking orders, your manager clearly didn't know how to handle the situation you found yourselves in.
When you're understaffed and behind on orders, don't tip your hand by telling customers you're going to stop taking orders for a while. Instead, let people know you're running a little behind but that you'll get it out to them as soon as possible and ask if you can take their order. Then the customer can make an informed decision about whether they want to wait or not and likely won't give you any trouble.
If your really do need to stop taking orders, tell folks who come in you'll be right with them, and walk away from the register for a few mins. At least this leaves them in a less awkward situation than the one I was put in when I was told you're just refusing to take orders for an undisclosed amount of time.
Once I did place an order I got it very quickly. Perception is everything. You can freak out in back of house but in front of house, everything is going...
