McCann Street Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Longview

Came in for dinner with my wife. It was our first time visiting since it opened. We were both starving, so we ordered 2 appetizers to share. The cheese balls had a great crunchy outside, but the cheese inside was not very hot. Warm at best. We also ordered chips and queso, It was okay, but the queso was barely warm. Wife ordered nachos for the main, and I ordered a burger. They were both just okay. 16$ for a cheeseburger and fries is steep compared to other restaurants. Butcher Shop down the street has way better burgers, and they are cheaper. The servers were nice but not very attentive. It wasn't busy roughly 3-4 tables, but the bar was full. We wanted to give McCann street bar and grill a try for something different. Unfortunately, we walked away, saying we won't be back. Really wanted to like this place because it's right down the street...

I was disappointed. I had high expectations. With my current diet, I found something on the menu that would accommodate me and then asked to remove what I couldn't eat (just two ingredients, nothing crazy). Since this item had beans, it was the perfect option to still have a well-rounded meal. When I received my food, it was a different story. It had exactly 1 scoop (think tablespoon) of beans UNDER my tortilla bowl and a side salad portion in the bowl . I understand they do not cater to my food choice preference, and I did not expect a perfect meal, I did expect to at least feel full after, though. Especially for a $13 salad. This was actually our second poor experience since McCann St reopened, so unfortunately, I dont think we will...

I was approached by one of the managers while out with a business associate. I found her behavior to be extremely unprofessional, and I followed up, politely and privately via text, to ask that my personal boundaries be respected.

My business associate also expressed feeling uncomfortable with the way she interacted with us.

The next time I visited, I was kicked out.

The nachos? Honestly, I think they’re yummy. The pizza needs a little work but the fries make up for that. (Definitely gonna miss those fries. 😭)
