Normally I have no complaints about Sumo - our office goes there pretty regularly. Today was a gigantic cluster. My office mate attempted to call several times to place our order. I finally said I'll just run tell them our order pay for it, run some errands while they are making it, then pick it back up and head back to the office. Should be great!
WRONG!
I get there and I tell the hostess i need to place a few orders to go and she refers me to the window (lovely young lady) The girls behind the counter are busy bagging up an order. No worries I understand it's lunch time. But then 1 decides she's going to take my orders. I give her my orders and she says - It'll be 30 mins before it's ready - No worries I'm going to run some errands, can I go ahead and pay for them and pick it up through the window? Sure she says no problem
FIFTEEN MINUTES LATER - after 3 different people argue over who is going to take my MONEY to for the orders they finally check me out.
So I leave can't run all my errands because now I"ve only got 15 mins. so I go get some teas and go back. Wait in the car line to get my orders. I pull up and they said oh we have this order ready but can you pull around front for the other two. Sure No big
ANOTHER 15 MINUTES LATER - I finally get informed that "the new waitress" handed one of the sushi rolls to the wrong person and they had to remake it. Seriously? My entire lunch has been wasted AND i'm late getting back to the office. When the original lady who took my order comes out to give it to me. She is very nonchalant and uncaring that they just ate up my entire hour lunch.

Read moreI just had the rudest person answer the phone at Sumo. She said, my name is Louise, go ahead and complain about me. So here is my complaint. First of all, I'm not the type of person that ever complains about anything, so imagine someone getting you to a point where you feel the need to write it on a public forum. Secondly, I have been ordering food from Sumo for two years and there is no reason on Earth, just because she doesn't understand the process, there is no reason to keep repeating the same thing over and over and not listening to anything I had to say or suggest to her. I asked to speak to someone else three times and she said no. I asked if anyone else worked there, so I could speak to them and she said no, then she said maybe you should call waitr. ..why would I call them if I'm already on the phone with the establishment I was calling. So I asked to speak to a manager and she said no again. I said well this doesnt make any sense, I'm going to have to call another day and make a complaint. I asked what is your name, she said Louise, go ahead and make a complaint. The food is delicious and the service normally is perfect. Someone needs to retrain Louise on life and customer service before she turns the customers away. I guess I'll use GZ Aisian Bistro from now on since they dont mind accommodating me over the phone. 2 years of business wasted by one bad person...

Me and my friend ordered and asked for our complimentary edamame and soup. we never received our edamame which we had asked for several times. and when i received my sauce for my chicken my chicken was already cold. my waiter was a guy and he was never attending. he kept saying he would be back with the edamame and never came until it was time to pay. we asked two ladies for help and they refused. we were the last ones there waiting and 3min before they closed the waiter finally came and said “ i’m sorry we’re out of edamame”. As we were leaving we apologized for causing a disturbance and the waiter said “ I’m sorry but we don’t serve people who don’t tip “. We did not tip because the service given to us was not acceptable. We always tip anywhere we go when we recieve good service. A tip is not mandatory. When we came back in one of the waitresses said we cussed her out and when we asked for camera footage she refused. the Manager did nothing to help the situation. The only two people who were kind to us were these two mexican women who made me my edamame in one minute after telling her my side of the story. I love the food here and i had came here many times.
