This was my first time at this location but I've been to a bunch of other locations before. Even though this is a chain restaurant I have to say that it has always been great from the food all the way to the staff each restaurant that I visited in different states has been awesome.
We went for a late lunch early dinner yesterday and was seated immediately. Waiter Andrew was amazing and very friendly. We ordered Burgers, steaks, chicken fried chicken, salads, appetizers, drinks and everything was delivered at the right time. We were served the appetizers and were given plenty of time to enjoy them before our main course arrived. Our drinks were kept filled and dirty dishes were cleaned up immediately after use.
Now on to the food, We started off with a cactus blossom that was fried perfectly, serve piping hot with amazing Cajun sauce.
We also ordered a appetizer combo that included boneless buffalo wings, tater skins and fried pickles. This was served with ranch dressing and everything was delicious.
So for our main courses we had two sirloins and grilled shrimp plates, one steak and rib plate, one classic burger plate, and one country fried chicken plate.
Sirloin and grilled shrimp was amazing. Steak was cooked perfectly to medium and the shrimps were nice and juicy. The steak was topped with mushrooms and onions and this meal was served with a side salad topped with ranch dressing and a loaded baked potato. The sides were pretty amazing as well and we're a nice compliment to the meal.
Sirloin and grilled shrimp number 2 was also amazing. This steak was cooked well done and was just as enjoyable as the first plate. For the sides it was also a loaded baked potato and mixed Steam vegetables.
Sirloin and ribs was the next entree ordered and the steak was cooked perfectly medium rare was delicious didn't have any gristle or much fat to it. The ribs are indeed fall off the bone and we're very tasty. As for the sides loaded mashed potatoes and a bowl of chili was requested. The only negative about this meal was the loaded mashed potatoes. They were really dry, served cold and did not taste very good. The chili on the other hand was absolutely delicious.
Country fried chicken was child approved! It was served with an absolutely delicious brown gravy on top and it was fried perfectly crispy. As for the sides there was a salad and loaded french fries.
All American cheeseburger was cooked perfectly well done without being too dry. It included American cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and onion. It was served on a Texas size bun. This comes with steak fries that we upgraded to loaded fries. This definitely was a juicy thick Burger that tasted fresh and amazing.
We also had the legend margaritas and wow they really are legendary. These were definitely strong Margaritas filled with three different types of Patron vodka.
I do have to give a shout out to our waiter Andrew. He was very kind, very helpful and very patient taking our very large order. He delivered our food in a timely manner and kept our...
Read moreIf you would have asked me pre-covid how I felt about this place I would have given a five-star. Since covid this place has gone downhill with the service... I could probably write a book on it but I'll keep it brief for this review.
It is not "more convenient" to order online. No matter how many times you say it on your automated phone service. If I wanted to order online, I know how to do it and would do so. Can you order online while driving? No so therefore, it is not more convenient to order online.
My issue here is I live 30 minutes away and if I call when I leave my house while driving and actually get someone on the phone (which seems to be an issue over the last few years....) it's usually almost ready to go by the time I make it to the restaurant. Lately when I call, it will revert me back to the main automated options after I'm on the phone for a minute or two. I don't know if this is automated or not but it seems like it's more likely that the people who are mending the phones just simply don't want to pick it up so they let it revert back to the auto service. Extremely frustrating and makes the customer feel like they are just trying to force online ordering.....
20 minutes into my drive, I finally got someone on the phone who I don't feel was directly aggressive but either way still rude with how quickly he was wanting responses, not letting me finish before speaking etc... by the time I got it ordered I was roughly 10 minutes away from the restaurant and they told me that it would be ready in an hour. (Great. Would have been 40 minutes if they picked up when I originally called....) So I decided to go into a store for a while before going to the restaurant to bide time.
Once I got to the restaurant I go up to the somewhat new weird, in the way, no seating, outdoor "to go pickup area" (real great in the rain and cold btw....) and tried to pay for my food and at first they couldn't find the order which is fine, they were able to find it but it was like an inconvenience to them for some reason and then they wouldn't let me pay because it wasn't ready to go yet....odd.... Maybe if I just ordered online it would be different....🙉
so now as I'm typing this I'm just sitting outside at there "weird, in the way, no seating, outdoor to go pickup area" while everyone including elderly and babies with their parents are trying to get out of the door that's right in the way of the to go area... Also, make sure not to hit your head on the sharp to go parking sign that's also right in the way of peoples walk path to try to avoid the weird, in the way, no seating, outdoor "to go pickup area".........
The food I'm sure is great as always. The atmosphere sucks (both indoors, outdoors and your parking area) it's all easily...
Read moreWe know they hire a lot of young workers, but the customer service could be better. We walked in around 3:20 this past Friday and it wasn't busy at all. However there were around 5 girls at the counter, 1 on the phone with a customer, another on her personal phone, 2 chatting and 1 laying her head where they get the customers from. We stood there over 5 minutes and no one said a thing to us, no greeting at all or sorry for the wait. I told the girl who asked how many that we didn't want to be stuck back far in a corner, she said you won't be, but the girl who was seating us took us to that type area and I repeated myself so we go back to the counter and she rolls her eyes with an attitude and just turns around without saying a word; we started to leave then. We were seated near the bar and I thanked her but her attitude was ugly. We had the nicest server and she took care of us. The bartender recommended the grilled chicken breast with onions, mushrooms and jack cheese for me; it was okay; it might have been better had it not been burnt on the bottom, and they tried to cover it up with mounds of onions and mushrooms. ( I ate a couple bites and was done) my sweet potato was meh, but side salad was good. My husband had the country fried chicken with a salad and mashed potatoes and he was very happy. The rolls were soft and good this time because they were hard on our last visit. Our onion blossom appetizer was really good. The food didn't make up for bad customer service, and it will be a while before we return. Customer service to paying customers just doesn't seem to be important to the group of workers they have employed. The service and food has gone downhill like others. The portion sizes have significantly decreased while the prices continue to increase. Thanks Roadhouse for usually satisfying our bellies on every visit, but this visit was a miss and waste of...
