'Brittney' was the only one in the front when we arrived and she completely ignored us. Never said a word to us and walked by us twice without even glancing our way. Several minutes later, when we were fixing to leave, our server came out from the back and immediately waited on us. The food was cooked to order and had good flavor. The server did mess up on my order (added to it) so he comped the difference in price. Friendly and happy is good but you can have too much of a good thing. Staff seemed to be really good friends because they couldnt stop cutting up and laughing together, which meant we didnt get much attention- drinks not refilled, dishes never cleared. We got two to go orders and they were put in one container so we asked for a second container since they were leaving in two cars, and they handed us the bowl with no lid. We gave up and just put napkins over it. Over all it was an okay visit but could have been better with more mature staff. We'll go back but know not to expect 5...
Read moreI’m from California, where no Waffle House exists, so this was my first time visiting one.
When I came in, employees looked at me but said nothing. Not "hello, have a seat", not "we'll be right with you", nothing. So, I sat myself at a table.
More than one employee walked past my table, but still, nobody acknowledged or uttered a word to me -- I started to wonder if I was invisible.
After a few awkward minutes, thinking I might starve if I don't speak up, I kindly asked for a menu. They gave me one, and I ordered a waffle and eggs breakfast, which came to me with no drink (they didn’t ask if I wanted one), and no syrup for the waffles.
I asked for and got coffee, drank it and ate my meal. Since it was clear nobody was going to ask if I need more coffee or offer to give me my check, I asked what I owe, paid, and got out as quick as I could.
While the food was good enough so that I can see coming back to Waffle House (not this one), the service here was the worst — bordering on...
Read moreI've never been to a Waffle House, (and only knew the name thanks to a Jelly Roll song!), but, my boyfriend insisted i try it!! And, I'm Sooo Glad I did!! When you first walk in, its a tiny little building, with a really long bar running down the middle of the small room. Directly in front of the bar is where everything happens! Right in front of you!! The cook, who I assume was the manager, was just hammering food out left and right, while Joking with everyone sitting at the bar, and all without skipping a beat! You could tell that some of these people have probably been eating here for years! It definitely has a HUGE hometown feeling to it!! Now, THE FOOD!! It WAS THE ABSOLUTE BEST BREAKFAST, AND COFFEE, (DO NOT forget the coffee!), I'VE EVER HAD, away from home!! It was a very welcoming place, very comfortable! And, SUPER GOOD! Great job!...
