Oh West Monroe, Louisiana, you have in your mist a group of people that you're not.aware of. After I left the Waffle House next door still early morning. Got another coffee and witnessed another act of Monroe's magic. I was joined by men I never met. Church folk. Boy this day my troubles and cares vanished. A pastor sat with us it was there's well this manager a beautiful black lady brought this man his food without asking she remembered him he said from about 2-3 week's earlier. Guest what she made for him poucuched eggs bacon2 pieces toast ,and she even remember how many creams he liked in it we had such a time. Now I didn't tell you How I got stranded in Monroe, grayhound lost my belongings I had exhausted my funds no way to return to Oregon, hitch hiking my only option. Well we all parted bI forgot my dilemma headed to 1-20 exit when I heard traffic I paused waited at Circle K store a truck pulled next to me gentleman got out I recognize him one of the men who sat with me and said as I left I prayed and said God that man needs some help he said God told him then help. So story short this grayhound I'm enjoying now he bought me my ticket without knowing my plight. Now I'm sure to send him the money back when I receive my SSDI. Good night and may God bless you to bless...
Read moreSunday morning at 6:30 A.M., came in for just a quick breakfast... Not much to expect from a McDonald's but usually fast service and cheap prices since we are on the go. I went in just to order the typical 2 sausage egg McMuffins for $3.33 deal... Took almost 15 minutes to actually finally get my order (I was skipped and there was only one person ahead of me when I came in). Then when I finally got my order in the cashier hit me with $8.34 total and I asked "really? For two sausage egg McMuffins??" the manager (Alex) happened to be up front also and snapped, "yes, this is a franchise owned McDonald's so our prices are different from the corporate.." I was a bit confused as I had been to other franchise owned McDonald's and the prices were all the same... I didn't feel like arguing, so I just paid... I got my receipt and the manager then rudely asked "you do know what a franchise is, right?" I replied, "ummm.. Yeah, of course.." what the heck kind of question was that? Incredibly rude as it felt like I was being talked down to... Anyway, stay away from this McDonald's because it is franchise owned! Horrible management as well. Not to mention it also took another 10 minutes just to get my order... Of something that was...

Stood at the register for a while, not acknowledged by a person who resembled a manager while she tended to the drive thru. After various minutes, I said a friendly "hello" was ignored so repeated it which only resulted in the manager shooting me a look and annoyingly muttering something about someone "being there soon". That didn't happen.
Minutes later, a lower rank employee from the back of the kitchen walked towards the front, looked right at me and said to the manager "there are people" then ALSO did not come to the register. This one preferred to just watch the manager doing stuff while standing around doing absolutely nothing herself. I'd had it and increased my volume as I asked if anyone planned to work the register. The 2nd person walked over with a put off attitude as if she was doing us a huge favor. No, the "favor" isn't coming from you.
Needless to say, we left without ordering at that point. If they don't like their job, which clearly neither of them do, then they just shouldn't work there. Everyone, especially would-be patrons, would be very happy if...
