Gyro Factory — Restaurant in Lorton

No matter where you are in N. Virginia, if you’re around a 7 Eleven, the area always seems sketchy! BUT, if you can get past that, please consider visiting this restaurant! The men is focused primarily around gyros with a few other options in there. But let me tell you; I lived in NE Ohio and we had this placed called, “Famous Gyro George (FGG).” Until yesterday, I thought FGG made the best gyros I’ve ever tasted. Well I was WRONG! Gyro Factory makes the greatest gyros I’ve ever tasted.

They on put so much effort and care in their preparation—from the julienned lettuce and onions, thinly sliced tomatoes, homemade tzatziki sauce, buttered, toasted pita bread, and the star of the show, the thick sliced, perfectly seasoned, gyro meat. The sandwich is loaded with gyro meat (pause), so much that I couldn’t finish the sandwich.

Every great sandwich deserves a great side. The fries are amazingly crispy and so doggone good! Even after driving home (not that far away) the crispness remained. Everything comes out hot, fresh, made-to-order!

I won’t go anywhere else to get a gyro and will definitely try some of their other offering. My kids already swear by their chicken nuggets!!!! We also had samosas but we ate them so fast, I didn’t have a chance to...

This place refused to serve me because they didn't get my order right on the phone. I ordered a chicken cheesesteak over the phone and the guy made a steak n cheese. When i confronted him in the store because he had done this 2 times before and He made it seem that it was my mistake and claimed that I said steak and cheese over the phone. I know what I said on the phone sir and why would I be lying about my own order? I asked the owner/chef to forget about it and just make another one with chicken and I will pay for both since he is in denial and wouldn't accept his mistake. He went back and told the cashier to refund me the money and that he will not be making me another sandwich and refused to serve. This was not only embarrassing but humiliating to see our fellow muslim treated other muslims by refusing to serve. I would never go back to this place. The owner needs to learn basic customer service to run his business in this community. I drove 15 mins from my work to get lunch and I had no food to eat. Even on their menu, it says "Chicken Steak and Cheese". So either the owner has hard time hearing on the phone or just doesn't...

Upon pull-up, the restaurant seemed clean and the staff were courteous and friendly.

We ordered a lamb/beef gyro for myself, and a chicken gyro for my mother. We ate our entrees at 1 pm. By 6 pm, my mother looked at me and told me she had an upset stomach. I was thinking the SAME THING but was hesitant to say anything. By 2 am the next morning, my mother was in the fits of vomiting and mine was exiting profusely from the other end shortly after. To make things worse, we were in a teensy cabin on the AutoTrain with my two young children, 3 years and 7 months, to relocate my family to Florida, while all this was happening. So, it was an extremely significant day in our lives and eating contaminated food from this location pretty much ruined the trip. It’s been over 48 hours and I’m still experiencing nausea and diarrhea; fortunately, my mother has since recovered.
