Good place, crowded and they don't take reservations so you could wind up waiting a long time. We called before we left and the wait time was about 30 min. Took us 30 min to get there and by then the wait time was 60-90 mins, but we got in, in about 45 mins (we were a party of 7).
The food was very very good. We got clam chowder (very very good). Calamari (very good), special fries (basically chowder and cheese covered french fries). It was very small and just ok.
Main dishes were sea bass, shrimp, daily specials of shrimp stuffed with crab, lobster Mac and cheese, and some other fish dishes. All were very good to just good. The prices are just ok, some portions were large and worth it, some small for the $$. But again, all was very good to good tasting. The chowder is always excellent.
We went for a birthday and they gave the birthday boy a chocolate mousse which we got a spoon full of and it was very good too .
Overall it is a great sea food restaurant, just busy, no reservations, staff is short handed, so service can be slow, but the wait staff do their best to get your food to you while it is still hot (some of our soups were luke warm, my meal was less then hot), but still good* l got the grilled capts plate*. Fish was good, shrimp and scallops were 3 smallish shrimp and two smallish scallops on a skewer. But all was cooked perfectly and tasted great, just small portions for the $$.
Overall the food is good and I recommend (at the cost that this place might be more crowded thanks to my...

Read moreOverall a nice experience for Father's Day dinner.
It was a 25-minute wait for a party of four at peak time (no reservations). Pretty good!
For some reason the utensils were dirty and there was some black shmutz on the mugs and plates. They really need to work on the dishwashing...
Service was attentive and the staff was very nice. We got our food relatively quickly and it all tasted fresh and delicious. The waiter was nice enough to get us a free chocolate mousse for my sister's birthday.
I'd highly recommend the fresh fruit as one of your sides, since every dish is really hearty and there's not much of a selection of things to chase the heavy stuff.
I had some coffee (meh), swordfish (tastes like chicken), baked yam (yum), and steamed rice (great with pepper/salt + honey butter).
The prices were about normal. It's an upscale restaurant - expect to spend $50+pp. The portion sizes are huge so you mostly get what you pay for.
The atmosphere is fancy! I felt underdressed walking in there, although most people were dressed semi casually. Maybe I'm just too used to Denny's.
I didn't know this beforehand, but swordfish is high in mercury. Do some research before trying new foods. There should have been some sort of information about this on the menu or presented by the waiter, since if I had known I probably wouldn't have ordered it.
Oh and the bread rolls are really,...
