The Sportsman — Restaurant in California

I used to come here about four or five times a week but I won’t anymore after today. Besides the bathrooms being dirty and disgusting the women are not that friendly. today I walked in I wasn’t even greeted. Nobody said hello to me all they said was what do you want to drink handed me a beer the woman bartending today was especially rude maybe because she’s on steroids, like trwnbolone which she told me. She’s going through her menstrual cycle possibly or because she apparently has a bodybuilding competition coming up, but none the less was super rude. The clientele which is mainly old thirsty men who don’t wanna spend a lot of money and want to look at some booty come here and they say dumb shot and don’t want to back it up. One was super rude to me today and I was rude back and the bartender took the other guys side and made me feel very alienated and like I never wanted to come back so I told her I would not come back and I’ll be taking my business to Distractions and Pub 33, the bartenders there talk to you they flirt with you they make you feel good and they serve you drink in a timely manner and they don’t make you the bad guy at the bar over wanting to leave! I was trying to close out and apparently I got some ribbing for that and I gave some ribbing back to the guy giving it to me, and now I’m such a bad guy and getting rude treatment! This is a bar a bikini bar at that and one I will no longer spend money...

Decided after being seT for several years, to give this place a try again. Apparently in the last 8 years it has turned from a neighborhood bar into a bikini bar after 3pm. While there is nothing wrong with this, and the drinks are still reasonably priced and the pours aren't stingy, the clients are mostly young males. The bartenders-all females- cater to the males, and females, especially non-20 somethings are pretty much ignored--unless you are using the restroom. Then suddenly there's a scantily clad employee right there -making for a very uncomfortable experience. 20-30 yr old males will find this place perfect after 3pm. Prior to 3pm, it is still a great neighborhood bar to get strong...

Really lively place. Went there on a Saturday night.Right next to "off the hook" seafood restuarant and a liquor store. It has three pool tables, two dart machines. TVs on each corner of the bar area. For a dive bar,(according to my perspective and observation)it really spacious. The lighting is bright, which is a nice touch on the owners part. Really good crowd. It has a good balance of regulars and new visitors. You can tell its a tight knit group and know each other. The bartenders were britni and tawni. They were excellent in handling orders and customer service. I would go back again, because of warm reception of the crowd and its interesting...
