Excellent authentic North Indian restaurant and snack center situated in Woodland Hill area Los Angeles, CA šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø. Rates are moderate. You can get Samosa, sweets and other snacks. It serves only vegetarian North Indian Punjabi dishes. 1 item, 2 items and 3 items combos are available with 2 or 3 phulkas. You can choose different curries 1 to 3 dishes from almost 15 varieties available there. Combos are served with boondi Raitha and 1 sweet item is provided for 2 & 3 items combos. You can order individual curries also with Naan and phulka. We ordered combos with Aloo gobi, paneer butter Masada, Aloo baingan fry, Palak paneer, aloo parantha etc. We ordered even stuffed karela (bitter gourd). All the dishes were tasty and Excellent. We even tried Tea and it was really good. Must try vegetarian restaurant in Los Angeles, California whenever you are in LA. I strongly recommend this restaurant.

This was a pretty good buffet style fast food indian restaurant. I didn't rate it 5 stars because for some reason the person at the register kept taking people that walked in after me - I think because he knew them. The sweets looked excellent so I will have to try them next time. I ordered the 2 plate combo, with green pepper paneer and another paneer dish. The paneer was a little rubbery in texture but the flavors were excellent! Update: I have been back several times and it is worth the upgrade to 5 stars! They have a line away from the food displays to avoid crowding and they are always very friendly. The food is always well done - and I love their butter paneer! The naan is really large and is always high quality and fluffy. The staff always also offers me chai as well, I would highly recommend Baba Sweets for Indian food in the valley!

I was so eager to eat here since my friend recommended it highly. I was blown away by their authentic Punjabi style of food. To deliver such clean flavors, fresh ingredients and authentic Food, at such low prices, requires honesty to self and one’s home cuisine. I will recommend 100 times over to everyone I know. It’s LA’s secret Indian eatery in a city full of fake Indian food. I know some Indian origin customers complain about taste, prices and customer service but they are less travelled, less open to other regional delicacies and are recent immigrants who might be comparing prices to what they are before taking the flight out of India. I’m hoping the reality of eating fresh food paying a little higher price than jeopardizing health at cheap Indian restaurants will hit people. Good luck Baba Sweets, I’ll be back every time I drive over LA

In all my years of living in the US, I had the best customer experience at Baba Sweets. Here is why I say that. We are from the Stockton area and were visiting LA when we dined at this place upon our return back home. The restaurant was kept very clean including the restroom. Sardar brother who assisted us was the most cooperative person I had ever come across. I say this because I often see many people just hating their jobs and not putting any effort whatsoever to provide a pleasant experience to the customer. But my wife and I kept adding to our order and kept requiring additional items for our two year old son and he was quick to fulfill our numerous requests. I did not see him upset for even a second about having to listen to our numerous requests.

On top of great customer service, their food was some of the best I have ever tasted. We ordered their special of the day which was makki di roti with saag and boy it was delicious. We also loved our combination thali. We ended up ordering food for our road trip as well and also purchased some snacks (loved their gujia). Everything tasted quite fresh. I was surprised to see their prices being so low despite providing excellent service and delicious food. This combo is hard to find these days. Many times I just end up tipping due to cultural pressures but this time I wanted to tip the brother from my heart. Alas he told me their cash register system does not allow them to add tips and I did not have any cash on me by some bad fortune. But I have added their restaurant as a favorite in my Google Maps and will make a special visit to dine at Baba Sweets whenever we go to LA next time....

First of all, I’m not Indian but I noticed the restaurant is frequently full with local Indians so I figure if the locals like the food it must be really good. Personally, I absolutely love their food here! It’s rich in flavor, and the spices they use in their food is oh so delicious! The restaurant is not close to where I live but I make a effort to come as often as I can. It’s like a fast food restaurant for Indian food where you stand in a line and order your food from a counter, similar to a Panda Express. The food is already made sitting behind a glass counter and you pick which dishes you like. They have a one, two, or three combo plate you can choose from that includes naan, rice, and a side dessert. Their all vegetarian dishes and eventually I want to try every single dish. They also have free self service tea to go with your meal. The tea is also awesome! On the other side of the counter is another counter filled with all kinds of incredible looking desserts. The service is excellent here, they speak English and are very patient with me when I can’t pronounce the names of their dishes. One last point, their prices are very affordable. Cost less than a Panda...

Baba sweets is a very good eating place. I know Babaji had started this in early years. He is the most humble person I have ever met. Always very kind and thinking of the customers first. The food is very good and freshly made everyday. I have enjoyed their food.

But lately I have found that the younger generation don’t have same values. They really do not care about the customers. They do not know how to treat the customers with kindness and dignity. All they care about is the business.

They become rude to customers and do not realize if they are addressing a lady or not. I have experienced this kind of behavior few times, and I do not feel like going there anymore. Without the customers there will not be any business. May be more organization is needed and more staff.

They have to improve their attitude and respect the customers, because there will not be any business without the customers. They could get 5 stars but without change in attitude, it is...
