I really wanted to like this place. Great staff, cool little spot, but the ribs tasted and felt like they had been reheated a few times. Real dry, yet slimy, and would crumble around the bone. Just overcooked to hell and back, cooled, probably wrapped in plastic wrap, and held in a Sham warmer of some sort. It just felt like steamed, bagged meat. While it did taste like it took a ride in the smoker, the ribs I had felt like that was a few days prior to when I had them. Sides were alright. Looks like they're buying in their hot links from an outside purveyor which is also kind of lame. If you want legit BBQ in LA, check out Moo's Crafg BBQ. They at least have par systems in place. BBQ is meant to sell out the day of. If you can't do that, wheel back how much you're throwing on the smoker until you find that volume of sales versus output of smoker sweet spot. People want fresh meat off the pit, not proteins that have been cooled and reheated no telling how many times throughout the week. I hope they can right the ship because it does seem like good people are running it. They just need to tighten up operations.

Sorry I don’t have a picture to post but I can tell you what I experienced with the food. The pictures of others reviews made me travel from Sylmar to here for their barbecue special. I had the baby back ribs , greens , Mac& cheese and I ordered a cornbread slice and hot link extra. The ribs fall off the bone but they really were tasteless like there boiled not grilled didn’t have the Smokey grilled taste that Phillips, Leo’s or Woody’s has . The sauce is horrible to me Not savory and sweet smoky barbecue taste but hot and spicy like Korean barbecue just no taste, only pepper 🥵 and I can’t do hot I told the lady who took the order NOT TO GIVE me HOT BARBECUE SAUCE!!! She did it anyway!! And they don’t let you use the restroom so if you drink anything or drink something before you come there and then have to cool your mouth off while eating that hot stuff you can’t use the bathroom(Yikes!) poor service if you ask me they didn’t hardly give us napkins I bought two specials . The other special had chicken that tasted baked that wasn’t really flavorful either, coleslaw was bland the greens were too , and the cornbread was nasty Mac and cheese from box not scratch. I can cook all that food so much better than that and it would be so tasty 😋! Oh and our hot links weren’t cooked all the way they were boiled they weren’t on the grill they had no grill marks on them they were boiled and they weren’t cooked all the way so they didn’t taste that good I had to go home and put them in the microwave because who wants to eat a farmer John I don’t even think it was a hot link I just think it was a Farmer John sausage link but it was good when i cooked it all the way in the microwave . I should of suspected that they bake and boil their food because you don’t even smell a grill or smoke pit no where. But you stay busy so the majority of the people will just eat...

The bbq items I tried were good, almost great, you could taste the smoke in a few items, but chicken was a little dry, brisket was very good, and ribs were almost great. As far as bbq is concerned for the area, this is probably the best you will find for the next 4 miles. As for the sides, corn bread was okay, tasted like a box mix, and baked beans tasted like Bush's, tasted much better after I added their bbq sauce. Macaroni salad was custom, it was good, sweet. Corn was just okay. Will try the coleslaw in the future. BBQ sauce was good, not great. Prices are about what you would expect. Parking is going to be an issue here. If you have a large group, would consider getting the bbq items in bulk and taking them to-go. Could make your own sides that way. Reason why I recommend this, if you have a group larger than 10, seating is going to be an issue. Will certainly come back to this place again, was very clean, which was impressive. Entrance and seating was easily accessible. Interesting thing, they had 2 arcade consoles inside, free to play. That was pretty cool. Bathrooms are clean. If you are looking for bbq and are nearby, come here, won't find better for many miles. Staff are very friendly and can easily answer...
