I'm giving it a three-star because I'm disappointed last Sunday Oct 9th I ordered a large gumbo it was great it had the right amount of everything in it, for $27. This Sunday October 16th I ordered a large gumbo again for a friend, and a small one for myself. I was shocked I transferred it from the container it was purchased in into a glass bowl 3/4 of the container was nothing but rice one chicken drumette and a few shrimp which was all on top made a great presentation. I was disappointed because there was really nothing but rice and the broth had absorbed it all, leaving it not very flavorful. I usually don't write reviews but this really disappointed me I had been bragging all week about this new place I found on Uber eats. I was trying to give them a fair shot I'm disabled so I use the delivery service quite often I couldn't complain to the delivery service this had everything to do with the restaurant I would love to get them another try maybe it was just a mistake but I can't afford mistakes like this. 10/23/22 I would like to update my review I spoke with the owner she was very pleasant and only wanted to make things right with my order of gumbo and that she did that's why I had to go back and change it to 5-stars. Food was tasty. Ordered the 2meat combo w/2 sides & chose rib tips, spare ribs w/mac n cheese, greens- $22. I did request dry rub, but it was still smothered in bbq sauce. Meat portion size was ok w/ 2 hearty spare ribs & about 8 pc rib tips not including the unedible rib tip bones. Side portions were reasonable. Second order was shrimp creole served over a bed of rice, with 2 sides. Chose smothered cabbage & red beans w/ rice-$18. our favorite side overall was the cabbage. My ultimate favorite was the watermelon lemonade w/ watermelon chunks-$8-Large (apprx 24oz). I will def go back to try the oxtails. This is not ideal for dine-in, but seating/stools are available while u wait. Also heads up that parking is a challenge, there is a bus stop directly in front of the business next to a private residential driveway that you def should not block. understand that repeated complaints will effect the business. Normally, I would not post a review but I had to express my displeasure of this restaurant. I went there this past Thursday afternoon and there were only 2 people eating and I was standing there for a time to be acknowledge and I even asked the couple if it took this long to get service. Finally, the wait staff address me and I waited patiently because I was craving red beans with rice and sausage with coleslaw. I received the two items and took it home, but to my surprise the coleslaw had raisins in it. That was the first yuck.
