I haven't had Jamaican food in a long time and OMG I thought this food was delicious. Everything I wanted in more in the taste, quality and service. The food was served quickly but with love and thought. Not from California and i didnt realize you can find Jamaican food easily out here. I made sure to tell the sweet girl behind the counter that the food was so delicious that i wanted to thank her and the cook. I tipped her generously because she deserved it and i enjoyed my food and experience. Piece of advice to some.....tip when you eat out and get good food and service. These people deserve it. I use to waitress so tipping is something i always do. I found the serving amount of food to be great. I have plenty of leftover to enjoy later. I do eat a very small amount of food at a time because my stomach is very small due to weightloss surgery so not sure how others may feel about the portion. There is one table and 4 chairs so if your looking to dine in Hopefully the seating will be available. Overall. I loved it...
Read moreI had to stop eating to write this review and give the people and most importantly the chef a shout out . I was craving some "cooked" food. A hearty meal outside of fast dood or chain restaurants. While at work at a nearby hospital cra ing some oxtails I googled "Jamaican restaurants nearby". Came acroas thia restaurant and read the reviews....that we all know can be fake or bias. In any case I took a chance and ordered... Well lwt me tell you I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED. 😋😋😋. The whole meal was delicious from the mixed veggies, rice and oxtails. Perfectly seasoned, cooked and delicious. The jerked chicked was nicely marinated (yeah had to purchase a side of jerk chicken). Being from Miami and working in Los Angeles it has been really hard finding delicious authentic Jamaican food.....this meal was truly A1 and my new spot. Sorry no picture because I ate most ofvit before I wrote the post.
PS the portion amount for the oxtail was great...
Read moreBEST JAMAICAN OXTAILS IN LA. This place is so underrated and kind of a hole in the wall but if you're reading this PLEASE come out here to try their food, don't be intimidated by the outside/area. Everything is so fresh and flavorful, prices are reasonable, portions are great, and the lady and her man who run the shop are very nice. I've had a lot of Jamaican food in all areas of LA and these were the most amazing oxtails of all. Dining area is limited, there's only one table so you'd probably be best eating in your car or just ordering takeout if anything. Beef patty was so incredibly flaky and had a nice kick. I work in this area so it was dope seeing something different from your usual chain fast food places or burgers and tacos etc. Flava is an absolute gem. Would highly recommend stopping by for Jamaican food made with love, you'd be missing out...
