Just moved into the area a couple of weeks ago so this morning, Saturday, we want to try a local breakfast spot and we are both really happy that we tried CJ’s. Parking was really easy, which is always a bonus. They have a parking lot in the back, but also parking on the street and the neighborhood behind are really easy. There was no wait when we arrived because we were a party of two however, parties of three and more had been waiting a little bit. Their menu is large and there are a lot of great choices both classic American dishes and Mexican breakfasts. They also serve lunch, but we only tried breakfast today. The service was very prompt, polite and they were very quick with the refills which is always huge to me.
We ordered the Machaca breakfast which was delicious and filled with lots of meat, plus a side bagel, topped with avocado, and one of their specials this morning: the 2222, which was 2 Pancakes, Eggs, Sausages, and Bacon for $12. Also, their coffee is honestly really good. It’s better than the coffee I get at work. I’m a huge fan of a few cups of coffee in the morning at breakfast, so it was a real highlight to me.
Pricing is very fair, the flavors are terrific, the portion sizes are large, and parking was very easy. We will definitely be back many times in the future as we had a really great experience this morning. I would recommend to anyone looking for a great breakfast in a diner...
Read moreI recently had an unfortunate experience Cj’s Restaurant. From the moment I walked in, the service was lackluster. The hostess seemed disinterested and it took nearly ten minutes before we were seated, despite the restaurant being half-empty.
Once seated, we waited an excessive amount of time before our server acknowledged us. When the food finally arrived, it was clear that attention to detail was severely lacking. The main course was cold and seemed hastily thrown together, and the side dishes were overcooked and bland. The presentation was unappetizing, and portions were small for the price.
To make matters worse, our server was inattentive throughout the meal. We had to flag them down multiple times for refills and to correct our order, which had several mistakes.
The overall atmosphere of the restaurant was also disappointing. The ambiance was ruined by loud music and an uncomfortably cold dining area. Cleanliness seemed to be an issue as well, with dirty tables and unkempt restrooms.
I had high hopes for Cj’s Restaurant based on its reputation, but this visit was a letdown. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and makes the necessary improvements. Unfortunately, I won't be returning...
