My only gripe w The Getty is the food served here...you would think that for a state that has the largest Vietnamese population outside of Vietnam you would at least think the representative food served at the Getty would be at least decent, but it is not only bland but completely deprived of what pho really even is besides having noodles in a soup. The broth was completely wrong and the flavor was completely off. A big part of chicken pho is the broth!! Anyone who thinks this pho is acceptable has never had a good bowl of pho before and there are plenty of places in LA!
If this was my first time having pho, I would never try it again.
I find it so disrespectful and offensive to a culture when entities outside the culture misrepresent the food to others especially for a world renowned art gallery where people from across the world come together. I know the Getty isn't primarily a restaurant but because it's so far out there, many people choose to eat here. Please do better in your cultural offerings.

The sandwich came with lettuce, tomato, red onion, and crispy straw onions on a brioche-style bun. The chicken itself had good flavor, though I wish it had been pounded a little flatter because it was quite thick. Still, it was tasty and satisfying.
The sweet potato fries were a nice side — hot, crisp, and just the right portion.
My only downside was the price. The sandwich was $18, and the fries were a little over $3, so with tax the total came out to around $23. A bit steep for a casual lunch, but you are at the Getty, and the convenience of having food right there makes it worthwhile.
✅ I’d recommend grabbing a bite here if you’re visiting the museum. Not the cheapest option, but definitely convenient...
Read moreMuseum cafes are sort of hit or miss. Some have food at a level that tries to match the art. Others just have just push overpriced sandwiches. The Getty is somewhere in between. There is a diverse and somewhat international selection including tacos, pizza, and pho. This said one won’t find any of these at all competitive in terms of flavor or price with taco trucks and pho shops outside the museum. Most entrees are 17.50 and a small soda drink will add...
