My husband, daughter, and I came to Los Angeles for a trip. For lunch, I look forward to leaving them wonderful memories, so we chose a restaurant with the highest reviews nearby. However, I did not expect that the waiters here would treat customers differently. I think this is the first racism I'd encountered since arriving in Los Angeles.I would like to say that most of the people I met in Los Angeles are friendly, but in this restaurant, people should know these facts about this it. The waiter will only ask you what kind of meat you want in the noodles, but does not tell you that you need to pay extra for beef, and it is not marked on the menu Add water When the water spilled out, there was no explanation and no reaction The waiters at several tables nearby asked friendly questions about today's dishes, but they didn't come to ask us. The soup bowl and spoon here don't match. From a professional point of view, the spoon should be longer. No cutlery provided for children When I asked to pay the bill, the waiter said it would be settled right away, but actually chatted with a colleague for 3 minutes.
I don’t think I will go to a restaurant like this. The service here cannot match the beautiful scenery here, and it also fails to live up to the trust and choice of tourists. I have the right not to tip based on this treatment, people need to say no to this kind of racism. I have reason to believe that this restaurant only wants to accept locals...
Read moreWORST “High Tea” service was easily the worst experience having High Tea I have ever had. The tea was bland and flavorless, which came out just as two kettles with no spoons, milk, sugar or honey. Even after asking for milk no spoons were provided. The bread at the beginning was decent although it was served with what tasted like Smucker’s strawberry jelly and grocery store plain cream cheese. When the sandwiches arrived they appeared to be a day old and the taste did not diasppoint…. The breads were stale and room temperature. The filling for the sandwiches were horrible clashing flavors that assaulted the palate. The cucumber sandwich was on rye bread and the mayonnaise was warm. A cucumber sandwiches is supposed to be light and delicate not on stale rye bread so you cannot taste anything but aggressive rye flavor… when we turned down the desserts and informed the staff of the horrible nature of our experience they were shocked and informed us the sandwiches were prepared at least 2 hours in advance… left open to air and moisture… I do not understand how it could be too challenging for a restaurant at the famous Getty Museum to make small sandwiches when ordered. Ultimately, I would not recommend ever wasting your time or money here when you’re better off just getting a couple freshly made cheese burgers from a...
Read moreIt was a weekday afternoon, the restaurant is very artsy outside. We were greeted by the host who was very cheerful and asked to wait for 5 Mins. The waiting area had about 3 to 4 chairs and the best thing I liked was the water jar with lemon and glasses. I felt it was very thoughtful considering it’s at the museum. We were escorted to our table and oh my! I was taken by surprise looking at the crowd. Most were over forties and the ambience was very business like, I expected it to be a casual place for some reason :). The menu was simple ( image attached) the waiter was very professional. We settled for a salad and a crab dish. They serve bread and butter to begin with and the food arrived at our table in about 10 minutes and it was tasty. I settled for a Mediterranean salad which was very overly priced considering I eat similar food regularly but it was presented very well. I think it’s the place tag we pay for here more than anything else. After the main course we asked for the dessert menu which was priced at about 11 $ but was mind blowing. It was an experience and a meal for 2 with no drinks was 98 dollars. I also figured they have one of the best wine menu. It’s a good place to try and experience the food...
