Hotel Angeleno in Brentwood has a very nice restaurant on their 17th floor Rooftop. I've been to West Restaurant several times in the past and have always loved their food, drinks, the ambiance and their amazing 280 degree views of the surrounding cities and beyond what the eyes can capture...just remarkable and beautiful đ. It's the perfect place for a date, birthday and anniversary dinners, dinner with friends or if you want to treat yourself to a good meal and drink(s), that works, too. So, I decided this was the perfect place to have our mother's 87th birthday dinner last week and it did not disappoint 10 years later! The food was even more delightful and scrumptious than what I had experienced years earlier. They even offer a fantastic happy hour that ends at 6 pm on Sundays and we just made the cut, lol. What contributed to this memorable experience other than enjoying a delicious meal and conversation, was how much my mom loved it â¤ď¸. That was our goal, and the mission accomplished! My mom is very well-traveled and has an exquisite and mature pallet and this restaurant exceeded her expectations in every way possible. Needless to say, my mom is already making plans to return with a few of her closest buddies so, they, too can have the awesome experience at West Restaurant she did. And might I add, it was my sister, cousin and son's first time as well and they all agreed that the food was undeniably tasty and flavorful. Lastly, the valet offers 2 or 2.5 hours of free parking with validation only. That's a huge plus! West is now in the top 5 of my favorite restaurants and I...

You can make reservations online. Valet parking online ($7 after validation at the restaurant). Credit cards are accepted. Bathrooms are available to the left of the elevators when you come out. Masks are currently required. No-tipping policy at the hotel.
We had the option for the dinner menu or all-day menu, and the all-day menu is easier for sharing. The portions were larger than I expected, so we went home with leftovers. Food wise:
The carne asado nachos came with a generous portion of meat and nacho sauce (which I loved as itâs been a while since Iâve had some American-style cheese). The Caesar salad was similarly large and also had a good amount of shaved Parmesan. You have the option to add meat for an extra cost. The fried chicken sliders were not worth it. The chicken was really dry and bland, and the bread was not soft. You can never go wrong with truffle fries. Chocolate lava cake was more individual sized bud you can split it. I really liked the creamy ice cream that came on the side.
If youâre on the West Side, itâs a lowkey spot for some nice views and...
Read moreFood: Ordered their ribeye steak that came with asparagus and mashed potatoes, braised beef short rib with garlic mash(was very garlicky which I loved) and brussel sprouts (my favorite part of the entire meal), wagyu meatballs, parmesan truffle fries and chocolate lava cake. In my opinion, Iâd skip on the meatballs. It doesnât stand out and it taste like something you can make at home easily. Everything else wasnât so bad. I donât know what they did to their Brussels sprouts but they were so good!! Their chocolate lava cake came with caramel chocolate chip ice cream which complimented the fudge-y cake. As for the steak and fries, you really canât go wrong with it. Service: Staff was so nice and informative on what foods were popular. We came on July 4th and they dimmed the lights so we could see the fireworks! Parking: You can park your car through valet. I believe it was $9 and we paid at the front desk. Overall, the food wasnât bad and even though it is a bit pricier, you have to keep in mind that youâre also paying for the food....
