Cafecito Organico Atwater — Restaurant in Los Angeles

Bad customer service-barista demanded a tip. If a tip is mandatory, then it should be included-not optional. Barista had the audacity/entitlement to demand me why I did not tip, i said because I could not afford to. (But i wanted to try supporting a small coffee shop) i don't know what she hoped to achieve from this confrontation, but it was unprofessional and I will not be returning and will tell others not to support this business neither. Barista accused me of NEVER tipping, but i have only been here one other time.also told me i have hurt her feelings, because it is her 'craft'. I have never been placed in such an uncomfortable situation in my life. Barista was unprofessional and should have been fired. Instead there are literally 4 other coffee shops on the same street you can go to. I frequent many coffee shops including Intelligentsia, Black Elephant Coffee, Starbucks, Bodhi, Coffee Bean, never have been treated so poorly by an employee, just from trying to...

Out of the three coffee shops in Atwater Village town center, Cafecito Organico is my favorite. Better coffee, better service. Not only because it roasts its own beans, but also because it makes and presents coffee in a more serious way.

I usually finish my Wednesday runs at Atwater Bridge so coming to Cafecito Organico becomes sort of a routine. I would get a cortado, have a chat with Summer, one of the baristas there, then stretch my legs in their tiny sunny curbside seating area. Despite the slightly inconvenient location, this walk-up window gets a constant flow of customers, which is a good sign.

I’ve been wanting to try this place for a long time. It’s a cute place walking distance from my house. I was going to just get an espresso but it was $3.50 for an espresso and only $1 more for a cappuccino so I went with the latter. I really wanted to like it but the coffee was very bitter and tasted burnt. My husband and friend also tried it and agreed.
