California Bowl Sushi & Teriyaki — Restaurant in Los Angeles

🛑 STOP! Today I took my son for dinner after school. Despite both being hungry upon arrival unfortunately we left the same way. We ordered poke, spicy tuna bowl firecracker sushi1/2 roll and Jasmine 1/2 roll. Poke tuna was frozen in the center of the pieces. When I advised the staff she returned with the cook and it was stated by the cook “maybe wait a little.” The rice was gummy and prepped incorrectly. They did not offer any sauce or garnishments all had to be requested. I guess this is what you get when you don’t take the hike to Woodland Hills and go to your normal never disappoint spot!

Roll Roll. a five ⭐️ sushi spot. Tucked away but a huge bang of flavor!!! Now they know poke and sushi and have great customer service! I have to say I will never go to this California Bowl Sushi place again or any of its franchises. The experience is very disappointing to say the least. When I asked about refunding my purchase because I had not eaten more than two bites I was told NO. So I just asked them to trash the remainder of my $40 purchase because it was not appealing or tasty at all. Very poor quality sushi. And they said OK...

If I could give this place a 0, I truly would. I called at 8:30pm asking the seemingly "nice" lady which sushi roll has the most EEL. She told me the CATERPILLAR ROLL. Look at the pictures. Before I even took a bite I began digging into the roll to look for any actual EEL. There was NONE to small shards big as half your pinky nail.

The largest piece I found was maybe a dime sized in one of them. The rest, either nonexistent or teeny tiny bits, this could hardly count as an EEL ROLL.

It's very disappointing. I called today, explained my issue, and the manager refused to speak to me AND refused to meet me half way whatsoever. His worker told me "they won't do anything..."

Also, the "nice" lady on purpose "forgot" to place a receipt. The evidence I have that this is from California Bowl is their chopsticks paper.

I will never be returning here. I used to be a loyal customer.

Terrible customer service, employees are not trained to serve the customer they are trained to rush the customer. Rush the customer to place the order. If you dine in they hesitate to bring you soup even after the 4th time you ask they said they are not sure if we are getting soup because the cook is to busy in the back to pour a bowl of soup maybe they should hire new people starting with their cook and then moving on to their servers, then on our way out my girlfriends and I ask for a box to go and they ignored us then once I asked a second time they looked at me and rolled their eyes and I stood there as she says what else I said some sauce please she huffed and got me some practically throwing it at me.
