Check your order and sides before you leave the place to avoid having any missing items when you get home. I stopped by this El Pollo Loco on my way home because it was basically on the way and I wanted something different to eat since I already had burgers for lunch. You will not have any issues finding parking in this plaza. They also have the inside open now beside just drive thru due to covid precaution. I got the 3 piece leg and thigh with mashed potatoes, rice and corn tortillas. I asked for Pico and hot sauce on the side and I even asked the lady if the hot sauce was in the bag which she said yes. I didn't check because I was in a hurry to go home and of course the hot sauce was missing. The rice was kind of hard and the chicken had barely any meat on it. You shouldn't expect much when coming here but if you like it then it all works out for you.

I wanted to give 5 stars because the gentleman of Arabian descent was one of the nicest guys I’ve met at a restaurant and showed exceptional skill when displaying his customer service BUT the salad was bad and I already left the area. Had to drive back, only for me to get another bowl with a TON of OLD LETTUCE in my SALAD! My wife is GM at another location in SF valley and I’ve never had this problem at her location. Please fix ASAP.

I paid extra for a double pollo bowl, only to get the same amount Of chicken as a regular pollo bowl. The pollo bowl used to have 2 scoops of check and now they put 1 scoop of chicken and whole bunch of corn. Rice and beans. It's a complete rip off. Almost $9 for this...not worth it. Pollo Loco in general is losing their touch. The chicken isn't even that great anymore. Will not be going back to PL for a very long time.

Disgusting. I’ve been going to Pollo Loco for years. This was … a Horrible experience. As posted below I used to like this pollo loco. Been coming here since at least 2003.

This past weekend I stopped for dinner. Looking forward to a good relaxing dinner, we stepped in and there were 4-5 employees standing against the far wall behind the counter - they just stared at us. No greeting. Finally, a woman slowly walked to the counter but pretty much ignored us.

When I stepped up to order she said ā€œcash or cardā€? And then Shuttles me over to a big screen. I start to give my older. She tells me to TOUCH A FILTHY SCREEN AND ORDER IT MYSELF. No. I am not going to touch a screen people touch all day all night and each day. I never saw that screen cleaned.

Really? After Covid? You have a tacky filthy screen? Evidently they will only personally take the order if it’s EBT or senior discount.

I asked her a question about how much the white chicken not as a combo is. She said to look it up on the screen. It is NOT listed on your menu. I asked her the price of a combo with a drink - which a combo USED TO COME WITH. she didn’t know. It isn’t on your menu as it used to be.

As I said I’ve been coming to Pollo Loco since all you offered was chicken rice and beans plus tortillas. So I know the menu very well. It’s been my fave go to for years. I used to stop by this location at least once a week.

The menu changes - lack of clarity- and rudeness and lack of knowledge of what IS offered (she didn’t know if a combo came or didn’t come w drink at first) or how much more it would be to add a drink ā€œanother dollar I thinkā€? Is pathetic.

I refuse to use a disgusting screen that no one even cleans. I sat and ate my dinner, and at no point did anyone clean anything. The counter. Tables, nothing. Altho the same woman was able to walk to a table where two employees were sitting on break and have a chat w them.

My food was practically thrown on the counter. Not one person EVER asked if things were ok. I remember when an employee used to walk to tables w wet wipes and peppermints. So yeah, been around. While I don’t expect that anymore. Your level of courtesy and service is pathetic. The treatment at the counter, that I observed of others who came in, ā€œcash or cardā€ without a greeting- then shoving people to a filthy greasy screen? Then acting like they are doing some favor if they have to answer a menu question? That treatment of a customer is inexcusable. It takes a second or two to be pleasant. And it was NOT busy. After all, they were all clustered off to the side doing nothing when I walked in.

I will not be returning to this pollo loco. Nope. It’s sad. As the chicken was very good. But the treatment by your counter person and the greasy screen? Left a disgusting aftertaste. There are a lot of food places to spend my money. It will no longer, after 20 + years, be at Pollo Loco. As you can see from the review below. I used to love eating here. —————- OLD POST- Nice portion size, chicken cooked to perfection! The staff was extra nice! This was a great experience. When I’m in the SF Valley I will be stopping here! This is what all the Pollo Locos should be like! ā¤ļø

Visited this location with my business associate this eve... our regular dinner destination, or in all reality, our favorito~ dining venue is Del Taco®. Whilst conversing in our car & after mucho deliberation, we settled upon trying something new this Valentine's day eve. That said, upon entering we both ordered the Chipotle Burrito dish from the menu In combination with chips and fountain drink. This was the result of the recommendation by the girl working the counter register. To our delight the order was served quickly and our initial senses were drawn in, to just how much girth these burritos displayed. I picked up the burrito with my left hand, as to heft it and feel it's awesome bearing my arm down...Without hesitation my associate & I inserted the warm meat packages into our mouths...suprised we both were, pleasantly speaking, to their inclusion of soft beans, making the overall Chipotle Burrito Experience one that we'll cherish for years to come. In retrospect, our visit to El Pollo Loco was a shot in the dark if you will. A leap of faith. A leap into the unknown far away from our comfortable, delectable, and all too perfect ritual we experience Every Single Time we dine at Del Taco®. As you hopefully understand now, The dining experience we have with Del Taco® is a fine one...but as for this review & this little blip of time of trying something new...this little new adventure to the Crazy Chicken kitchen was our first but most definitely our last... We rate El Pollo Loco 5 stars. But on the same sliding scale we will forever rate our beloved Del Taco®... Siete' Stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. Como Estas, Grande'...

You would think that the manager taking the order might make the order more accurate. My husband specifically asked if he could have the taquitos plain and the manager assured him that was possible. My husband confirmed that he wanted taquitos for my daughter to be plain. When asked for his name for the order, he said his name clearly. Several minutes later we heard someone else's name repeated multiple times. Since we were the first group of people to walk through the door, my husband asked me to go check and see if perhaps there had been a mix-up. Yep, it was our order under the wrong name AND the taquitos were not plain. I politely pointed it out to him and the manager took them from me and threw them on the counter behind him telling his employees that they should have been playing in the first place. He was not a pleasant person. When my husband went up to order more food because his chicken nachos had exactly two pieces of chicken on them and none of the other things like they had in the picture, another person took his order and mistyped his name again. For the record, Eddie and Eric sound nothing alike. Seriously, I don't know if it was because it was 4 pm and everyone was tired or what was happening, but this El Pollo Loco...
