The Nectar — Restaurant in Los Angeles

It is a good place. I like the owner who was kind and accommodating to whatever a person wants (such as a customized drink). Prices are great especially for billiards that I've seen so far in the valley; 75¢ for a game. Many persons know one another. It really gives a feeling of a "locals only" joint; however, the owner tries to make a stranger or a fresh face feel welcome. Nevertheless, my only real issue is with the young bartender. If he doesn't like you, he has no compunction to hide it and has/will expressed/express his disdain. He openly has a look of contempt if you talk to a girl who's sitting next to you that he fancies at the bar. I've had another incident where he was extremely rude to my friend, and the situation had to be remedied by the owner. All things considered because of the price of drinks, billiards, and the niceness of the owner and everyone (in general for the most part), I still go here even though I don't feel comfortable at times. I feel I am openly disliked for a minor infraction of speaking to girl (and I'm not one of those pushy dudes so I know when a bartender should reprimand and this was not the case) that coincidentally the bartender decided he...

I've been coming here for years but latley this place has been going down hill. Last month I went and the girl serving at the time gave me the worst drink ever. She didn't even realize that the soda dispenser was watered down. So everytime I ordered a drink it was water with alchohol. I told her about it and she just shrugged and said she didn't know how to fix it.

Last night the owner was there. You can tell the workers were nervous around her. In the past I've had previous friends work there , she's notorious for taking tips from employees . I caught her trying to do that last night and I made sure to vocalize who the tip was for when I noticed.

Third . I paid 37 dollars for a regular beer and an old fashion . How im i paying this much for a beer??? Plus This is the old fashion I was given 💀 never again.

I've tried giving the benefit of the doubt since I've came here for years but...

Mixed bag. Seems to be a neighborhood bar with Karaoke. Bartender is friendly but there is drinking on his side of the fence by other co-workers. (Not happy about that) KJ sign up area is in the line of fire with the dart board and the player is constantly asking people to move. Pool tables are in great condition. Not hard to find someone that has been over served. Bartender was more concerned about his next karaoke song instead of wiping down a messy bar or the spills on the floor.
