Bottom line: pretty tasty burgers, sandwiches, bites and beers at the excellent Los Angeles State Historic Park, but for best value, bring your picnic We came for the Theodore Payne Foundation Native Plant Garden Tour after-party, and wanted a light early dinner. We decided to share a grilled chicken sandwich and pretzel bites, with a couple of local beers to wash it down. The chicken was pounded thin with an unexpected herb rub (was not advertised in the menu description). It was a bit dry, and okay, but not great. The house-made kettle chips were good. The pretzel bites with beer cheese were very tasty, and went very well with our beers. I'd eat here again, but would opt for one of the burgers or hot dogs instead of the chicken next time. The prices were on the high side, but not awful. The setting at Los Angeles State Historic Park was great!

Worst experience of my life. I came here on 3/23/25 around 3pm and it was awful. I waited so long for just 1 iced coffee. I waited at the window so long and then went back to the front window just to ask them why is it taking so long? They were very very rude. No customer service. They are not nice people working in there. There was also a girl working in front and eating cheese fries while fixing others orders. Why is she eating in the front where orders are being made? Management should be notified. They all need new training. Overall it was a bad experience. Will never go there again. And would not recommend that place either.

OK one word for the taste I experience buying a Ranger Dog ( without the red onions) and Chilli Fries. ********* M A R V E L O U S E *********** So delicious that this first time coming here and being wow by the taste.... I definitely recommend it to anyone... Come and tried it. And definitely dont forget to ask for their special cargo sauce on the side you will want to put it every where. Excellent love it Will definitely come and tatse other menu items after this incredible experience

Food was great but service was horrible that day. I called to order and wait a few minutes before the guy who answered could give the phone to someone else to take my order. Then I spoke to a woman who was very passive aggressive it was actually kind of funny. I asked if I could order Fries instead of chips and she said "anything else?" I said "was that a yes or a no?" Then she said "The fries are $3 upcharge" I said okay that's is fine I definitely want fries. She said the chips come with the burger already for the price ($12) and $3 more for fries on the side. I said okay that's fine then she asked if I wanted anything else which I replied I don't want anything else except for the burger I ordered I want no sauce. She started to talk over before I even finished saying no sauce and so I asked if she even heard me? She said yes that she heard me and then asked when I would be there? I said I would be there in 2 minutes and asked what time the food would be be ready approximately. She said "Well I still have to put the order in so" and i said well obviously but how long does it usually take? Like damn is it busy maybe? I get these and there is was 1 person sitting at the tables eating no one in line.... I paid for my food and when I got it, what do you know there was sauce on the burger. I took it back and asked them to remake it and then paid for extra bacon to be added. I got my second burger and guess what, no bacon. Good thing I stayed to check the second time. They were so rude when I went back again like it was my fault. Even the guy sitting there eating was like "third time's a charm huh bro" 😂😂😂😂 When I got back to the office to eat they didn't even give me the chips that were supposed to come with the burger....I would not go back even though the food was 8/10 the service was less...

I wasn't going to rate the food with any stars, cause it wouldn't be fair to critique/praise a department I didn't experience. I did do 4 stars there only because they did seem high in price, but I do understand why it would be. So, no hate here. It all looked and sounds fantastic though.

Location - pretty cool. Also, probably why I couldn't afford the food. It's like, a shack made out of cargo units built into a historic park area (*never explored the area) where you can hang out and have a snack. Full disclosure: we ventured all the way there to take a yob opp so that I can go from unemployed to underemployed. Surviving a little longer means another chance to give this shack a visit and snack on their cargo. *Still in the ^FD- the reason I am writing about my experience at this establishment despite not really experiencing their food-service's purpose, serving their food; is because ( I am assuming he is the owner and/or big manager person. I didn't really think much of it at the time until I ready some reviews and their owner responses) as we were leaving the dining area to embark on the journey back to the hills at the foot of the mountains, we passed by a group of polo-shirted, cart driving men. One caught me off guard by thanking us for being there and to have a nice day, even though we both knew I was only there to freeload on the dining area, landmark location, and joyous moment a lizard walked up to me, did some push-ups then ran off. That was a lot. TL;DR: went for job thing, too broke to joke (about getting a milkshake), manager owner (maybe) was sincerely nice, made me wanna top rate and visit for food sometime...
