It pains me to write such a glowing review for Blossom Plaza, as part of me wants to keep this hidden gem to myself. However, the truth is, this place truly deserves a rave review, and I only hope I can do it justice.
My experience began with Kelvin, whose kindness knows no bounds. He was extremely patient in helping me find the perfect apartment and his transparent communication and empathy is truly the reason why I chose Blossom Plaza and will always want to renew my lease. Although my interactions with Jennifer may be minimal, I know she works tirelessly behind the scenes. Her dedication to the building is evident through her consistent communication and transparency, especially with the frequent events in the area and within the apartment complex.
Living near downtown LA has its inherent challenges, but Stephan goes above and beyond to create a safe and secure environment. He, along with the security team, work tirelessly to maintain a high level of vigilance at their own expense. But it's not just about security; Stephan brings humor, personality, and thoughtful decor to the building, making it feel like more than just a place to live. Heās genuinely part of the Chinatown community and has great recommendations for places in the area.
I also have to mention Tracy and Tamia, who are both exceptional. Tracy is not only considerate and funny, but he goes out of his way to ensure residents feel safe and cared for. On one occasion, when I was catching a late-night flight, he stayed outside in the middle of the night to make sure I was safely in my Uber. Chivalry is not dead. Tamia, on the other hand, is one of the sweetest people I've ever met. She always greets everyone with a warm smile and takes the time to connect with residents, brightening anyone's day with her presence. Honestly, the entire security team is amazing.
Equally as important, the maintenance (shoutout to Jose and Francisco) and environmental services teams also deserve IMMENSE recognition for all that they do. They are the unsung heroes who keep the building running smoothly and ensure that our individual apartments truly feel like home.
While this area has a lot to offer, what truly sets Blossom Plaza apart is the unforgettable people who go above and beyond every day to make this place not just a building, but a true home. From the bottom of my heart, if I could thank all of them and hug them all, I would. I can clearly go on, but I think if I talked about each individual I could probably write a book...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI love the location of Blossom Plaza and the amenities, staff. However, my apartment was water damaged extensively this February due to an upstairs tenant/ sprinkler incident. I was forced to leave for 15 days. During this time, the remediation team used my personal belongings for water collection/remediation purposes. The leasing office also told me my apartment was still habitable, when it had two dehumidifiers, a heating device (bringing temp to 90 degrees), holes in the ceiling, cut out ceiling sections, wet carpet, and people going in and out for repairs.
I donāt have a car so I wasted time and money arranging transportation twice to find out that my apartment was not habitable as the office mentioned. When I visited, my dehumidifiers were not even turned on, due to a breaker/circuit issue. It also smelled like sewage, in large part to the remediation teamās mistakes. I had to find last minute accommodations on three separate occasions as a result of the lack of communication on repairs.
If the leasing office took the time to evaluate the extent of damage- unit by unit- and provided accurate assessments of damage, risk compliance, and scheduling this would allow tenants to better plan next steps during a challenging time. Instead Iāve essentially had to upend my life and figure out day by day where I can stay and how I can conduct my work which is fully remote (I work from home). It is challenging to adapt since I have disabilities and need a quiet environment.
Iām happy that at this point repairs are almost done but I havenāt gotten a clear response on rent and utilities credits, which is the least they...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBlossom Plaza is a fairly new apartment complex conveniently located in central Chinatown. The building itself was fine - besides the fact that the fire alarm was constantly going off, I didn't mind living here. This review is solely for their management and our move-out experience.
We had reserved the freight elevator way in advance for our move-out day, but the only security guard on duty that day had no idea how to lock the elevator for us to use. She had to call another guard who knows how to operate the elevator and he took an Uber here. Due to their oversight, the moving company we hired had to wait around for 20 minutes before any moving could be done. Waste of our money and time.
There are security guards on duty 24/7, which is supposed to be a good thing. However, sometimes when it's late at night, a few guards can be seen dozing off behind the front desk.
Per California law, Blossom Plaza was required to return our full deposit or personally deliver or mail an itemized list of each deduction within 21 days of us vacating the premise. They failed to do so. When confronted with email and certified mail, they simply chose to ignore it. Their response was they had uploaded everything to the resident portal after we moved out, but never once did they notify us.
Overall, it's not all bad but the move-out experience was definitely disappointing. Shoutout to the maintenance workers and the security manager Stephen - they were great and always on...
