I’ve worked in restaurants and even a Chipotle, and seeing the lack of management and basic staffing for the stressed employees, and how it affects the customer experience, really made me never want to come back.
It was Thursday (not a weekend) at 7 pm (prime dinner rush), a line to the door and one person working the line. I was impressed with their sturdy attitude but I would have lost it. There seemed to inexplicably be a shift change and breaks right in the middle of prime time, there were splatters and smears of food mixing together all over the serving line, burritos being rolled on top of it, and instead of offering the ailing coworker a line wipe or really any support, the cashier and employee coming off break just kind meandered through some random seeming tasks and looked confused. It was hellish. Everyone did their best but where is the training, where’s the obvious staffing adjustment? It seems since Chipotle added the separate online order expo line, most of my experiences seem to involve one line worker who’s moving inappropriately slowly because they are physically and psychologically exhausted! Just staff up, you huge...
Read moreThe place was well staffed and yet they can’t keep the counter clean and the place organize. The place wasn’t busy at all. There were only 2 customers at the time. The one customer was just talking to the one of the employee who prepares or cook the food and me. I mean he could have been cleaning the counter while he was talking to the customer. I feel bad to the owner of this chain who’s paying for extra employees that aren’t doing anything. With all that staff this Chipotle had at that shift they were 6 out on the floor and another person who keeps coming in/out from the right side, total 7 people. Yet the bar wasn’t keep clean, the warmer isn’t filled or if trying not to put any food cause they’re not busy they shouldn’t leave the empty ones there cause it looks dry and really is a bad presentation. Like what I said there were only two people to be served one was just talking to the one customer and me. I waited a while so I just left. To the owner of this location you have cameras use it. Don’t over staff your store when it’s...
Read moreAfter nearly 45 minutes of waiting, my delivery order was cancelled. I contacted Chipotle support and they refunded me but I had used a reward and they told me they weren’t going to give me the points back for the reward I used. 700 points and multiple purchases down the drain as they “decided” to not refund my points and give me credit for the reward I used. This is hardly the first time I’ve had a bad experience with deliveries through Chipotle. Multiple times I’ve not received the right order, I’m missing items, and this is the last straw for me. 45 minutes of waiting just to have the order canceled for no reason and they won’t properly refund me? I won’t be ordering again...
