So we haven’t been to La Fuente’s in quite a while. But we did order take out often during the pandemic when we were laying low. This restaurant is a place we’ve been going to for many years and it is place that is close to where we live so we like that. But things seem to have gone downhill significantly. The Waite staff never was the most diligent but it was relatively acceptable. I cannot say that about the experience we had with our waitress this first time back inside since the pandemic began almost three years ago. She wasn’t terribly useful in the effort to help us decide what to eat. Or drink for that matter. Whatever any of the four of us asked about, she said oh “it’s very popular” “everyone likes that”. It was as if they had given her a script to say and she just rattle off some words and she didn’t know anything about the food. Maybe it was her first week at the job. But it seemed to be something more than inexperience.

I could write pages about what an awful dinner experience we and our friends had but here are the main points:

Poor service Stringy on chips and salsa Super nachos were super BAD – microwaveds to an inch of their lives. Yucky guac and sour cream. Microscopic carne asada on top. Really a miserable dish. Drinks: Terrible wine, mediocre margaritas, and a thing call a Bloody Mary that was brow because they dump half a bottle of Worcestershire sauce in and skimpy vodka. And no Tabasco. Can you believe a Mexican restaurant without Tabasco??? AWFUL! House salads drenched in dressing. Eeek. Chicken burrito – arrives looking like its wrapped in cardboard not tortilla. Combo dishes were a bunch of mush Steak fajitas were really Green pepper and onion fajitas with a bits of steak. BLAH! Despite the lousiness of the food etc, we tried to laugh at what a weird awful dining experience we were all having. We chuckled at the reds flags that should have gotten us up and out before ordering main dinner. Oh well. Overall it was a shame to experience a restaurant with such prior success, be such an utter failure.

When we left, all four of us agreed that the old saying fool me once shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. None of us ever expect to return to La Fuentes or even do take out. Four long time...

My Reviews are really good ,when Well Deserved,But Definitely Not Here... CheckYour Bill Here!! And Count your change FYI Very Bad experience here, Erica or Karla forgot my 5.00 soda which I was charged an when I went to get the refund Tito made me feel uncomfortable, bout a 5.00 soda. Sarcastically, Says, are you here for the Soda? I said No, I'm here for the refund , I can give that 5.00 to a homeless that can eat today. And I didn't even get an apology from Tito. Then, before that, Again,Tito, short changed me 5.00 on my change, an order that i picked up. really? The Owner cant count?! He Owed me 5.00 .I bet if a customer was short 5 dollars he wouldn't let it go. I had to tell him twice, you owe me 5.00 He gives me A WEIRD look then gives me the 5, Again, no apology. We've spent hundreds here a month, and always leave a great tip an for them to rip us off like that..Totally wrong.!! How Dare You!!! I suggest, check your receipts. They might rip you off too without You knowing it. If you have so much money to have private Car Wash,Fuentes?in your lot ,getting your Fancy Truck Washed. How Dare you Question me on getting my 5 to give to Homeless. YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED! Here's the Worst Part... And they leave Pots of meat an Menudo on the floor over night cuz there's no space. Where Rats can indulge in they're infestation. GROSS! Think bout what your eating..I know cuz My friend worked in the kitchen...Health Dept should investigate... They Do Not Care About Their...

My father, sister and I visited this restaurant on a whim for what was supposed to be a quick lunch, but it ended up being the meal of a lifetime! On entering we were immediately greeted and placed at a table, there was plenty of seating space available. We were given complimentary tortilla chips and fresh salsa to snack while choosing our order. The host, Ricardo, was extremely friendly, easy-going and patient. He was very sweet and even gave us each a bowl of complimentary lentil soup, truly a wonderful treat. We ended up ordering the Kesabirria Tacos, Huevos Rancheros and one of the house specials, the Zarandeado Fish. The dishes were delicious, fresh and filling, and absolutely worth the price. Each dish came with some amount of Mexican rice and beans, and there was much food to go around between the three of us. My personal favourite was the Kesabirria tacos, with the slow cooked Argentinian beef that was bursting with flavour. The restaurant was clean, had ambient lighting, comfortable seating, great music and it was decorated with unique and colourful cultural artworks. Also, although we didn’t take advantage of it, there is also a bar available, with an extensive drinks menu. As a college student who is new to the area, I’m glad to have found such a wonderful and authentic Mexican place in the vicinity, and I’m definitely going to come back here with my friends sometime soon. Thank you so...

I can't complain about the service. Please go into this review knowing that the servers are some of the friendliest and most helpful I have ever dealt with. Having said that, I was charged over 16% in sales tax wheni went in just for a drink. I didn't notice until later when I was consolidating my receipts from my trip. I wish I had the receipt for the food to see if I was overcharged there, too... but I lost it! With the change of ownership from the previous and long-standing family restaurant of La Fuente, some things are not as good. The chips and salsa used to be free, plentiful, and the salsa was good! Now, you have to pay for chips and salsa. You get only a little bit, and they just aren't as good. Some may not agree, but I think chips and salsa should always be served free when at a Mexican restaurant. In addition, the beans are not the same. They're pretty mediocre compared to what they used to be. The albondigas and my fiancé's machaca burrito were good, so not everything was terrible.

Got the beef/carne asada fajitas. Everything was so well seasoned and tasted delicious. Best fajitas I’ve had since living in LA. Very impressed. However I came on a Sunday and they had a lovely live band. They played well but it was just so overwhelmingly loud. I couldn’t hear anything or even talk to my partner or even when the server came around. Everything else was perfect though. Just if they could make the live band just a tad bit less loud so people can enjoy their meals and company. Otherwise will definitely be back!
