OUTDATED REVIEW: The food was absolutely amazing. Expect to pay 20 bucks if you want a drink. Order the heat level above what you usually get. I ordered Medium and it wasn't really as hot as I'm used to.
UPDATE: After my most recent visit, I had to amend my review down. I visited the restaurant yesterday, and the food was great, so I came back today, and I brought the same cup I bought the day before. They charge about 3 dollars for a beverage, so I thought, you know it would be frugal to bring it and save some money. After all, the food itself is about $11 for one meal, and I was buying two, so it didn't seem necessary. Besides that point, they have no sign indicating that they disallow refills or that what I was planning was against policy.
But while I was eating, I ran out of my beverage. I stood up to refill it, and the man behind the restaurant had switched it off. He accused me of stealing drinks because I had not paid for my cup. I had, the day before, and he could have asked me for my receipt but he did not.
I am not saying that restaurants are required to offer free refills, and it is completely within this restaurant's right to have such a policy. However, when the restaurant has no such policy posted, it only makes sense to inform me that I cannot use my cup when I first entered the restaurant instead of confronting me and making a scene, accusing me of theft.
And not to put a finer point on it, but sofa fountains are designed to be easy profit. The cost to the business per 12oz beverage is tiny when compared to the profits they make off of it. I know this because I've worked in business management. Charging $3 for a drink is very steep. If they allowed customers to get refills for free, they are incentivizing the customers to buy food from the restaurant more often. Imagine if I kept my Cluck & Blaze cup in my car. I would be more likely to return regularly for food.
Unfortunately, this management decision along with the employee's decision to insult me has left me hating my experience and I will not be returning. I still stand by my previous statements on the chicken, it is very good. Excellent, even. But I do not feel comfortable patronizing a restaurant that is willing to treat me in...
Read moreI stopped by this place this morning to try their breakfast burrito. I was already in the plaza where this place is to pick up food for my wife and I was interested to try this place. It's kind of hidden from all the other stores because it's in a corner. I placed my order online on their website and selected a pickup time a little after they open so it would be ready instead of me waiting there if I chose the exact time they open.
I parked where the grocery store is at because there more parking there compared to the small spot this place has. When I walked inside, I was the only guest and just one man working. I told him I was there to pickup my online order and he looked confuse because he told me there no order on his screen. I showed him the email receipt and he went to look on the computer which he found it. I got the Original Nashville Hot breakfast Burrito and chose the mild sauce. He said it would take about ten minutes for him to make it.
You can also order from the kiosk when you're there as well. When I was waiting, I saw that the kiosk were stuck on the login screen so I made him aware so he put in the code to unlock it. It took about ten minutes for my food to come out and I took it home. The customer service wasn't the best so far because he didn't apologize for the error and he just didn't seem friendly.
I was disappointed when I ate my breakfast burrito because it didn't have favor and was already falling apart before I even ate it. I can't even tell if it's missing something ingredients because when I look at other people pictures of the burrito, it had some sauces. I didn't even finish my burrito because it just wasn't good. The other guest who came after me seem to not like the only guy working as well because I overheard him when he was talking to his friend with him. I don't plan on...
Read moreOk stop looking for somewhere close by to eat and just try this place out! I've had a lot of this Nashville style hot chicken from banging buns, Dave's hot chicken, and a few other local spots but by far this is the best hands down. If you've had it I'd say quality and flavor is on par with Hattie B's in Vegas. The quality and prep of the food is over well above the norm. The GM was awesome when we first went in. He showed up all the different options on the menu and to my surprise they actually look like their photos and vids. He also has us try out the diff heat levels, so we could actually enjoy out meal and not just have to take a wild guess. The Mac&cheese is great and same for their tots. At this point I'm repeating myself, but I've been twice already and I'm looking for an excuse to go again. They apparently are going to do deep fried turkeys that I've already decided I'm going to buy this year for Thanksgiving! Keep up the great quality and this place will quickly...
