WaBa Grill — Restaurant in Los Angeles

2020.05-06/1130: Love this place. I know this is a fast food chain but it's better to eat here than Carl's Jr. You have to pick the lesser of the two evils. I do not eat out because of my allergies and other dietary restrictions. I thought I would leave a review because they deserve it.

With any place you decide to eat at, what makes the visit is generally the staff in place. I love this location. I love this location because of Destiny (or Desteny, as stated on the receipt - my apologizes if this is incorrect) and the cook, Oscar. Destiny ALWAYS has a smile on her face and acknowledges any guest, the minute they walk through the door. Never has there been a visit and it was unpleasant. She is always a pleasure to work with. I praise the cook, Oscar because that's what makes the food so good here. This is what makes people come back. You can have an awesome variety of food available but if you can't cook it right, you will have no guests. During this pandemic, I would have to say that they picked the best team to represent their company. Every visit has been consistent with customer service and quality of food. Each visit.

So I found out that they have dumplings here. Couldn't be more perfect. Generally I order from the Thai spot down the street which costs me about $9.99 for 5-6 dumplings. It's different everywhere you go. At WaBa, $2.50 for 5 dumplings!!! That's my lunch! Affordable and delicious. Oscar cooks them as if he's from a five star restaurant. I know, a lot to say from a fast food joint but I've been saving TONS of money now that I go to WaBa. I don't have to pay for delivery fees. I don't have to eat in and leave a tip to have good food. I can get it here from now on - as long as they have the right cooks on board.

I am leaving this review because I love the staff here and they should be commended for the excellent customer service they provide!! Thanks WaBa for adding dumplings to the menu - you'll have a guest for life as long as Oscar is...

I stopped by this Waba Grill this morning to pick up lunch for my wife. She wanted their Salmon Veggie bowl and I customize it to get easy rice but more veggies. They charge extra for that so just be aware. I placed my order through their website and select the time when the store officially open since it was an option.

I been to the plaza this place is in before and there tons of parking here. I arrived early to visit another store nearby to return my Amazon package. When I walked to this store, I saw that they don't open early. So when they officially open, I walked inside and checked in with a worker. She told me that since they just open, they are still making the food. In my opinion, if your online order isn't going to be ready at the time you selected or if they just open, then it shouldn't be an option.

It took like ten minutes until my order was ready and the worker who cooked my order asked if I wanted extra sauce. I got the extra sauce and utensils. I took it home and when I look, I can't tell if they give more veggies but I see they still give a lot of rice. It looked like they give a decent portion of Salmon though and my wife...

Horrible. Ordered my Chicken plate with brown rice @11:36 received my order @12:08...but hold on. When I opened the box it was WABA on white rice.... Went back to the cashiers, asked them to replace it, I specifically told the girl that it supposed to be CHICKEN PLATE ON BROWN RICE. waited for another 10 minutes, went back to the cashier to find out what's going on with my order, but they did not even started to work on it, so the girl said a few more minutes, yes that was true, but this time I got WABA ON BROWN RICE.... Like, come on, are you serious, you only need to remember 2 things - CHICKEN AND BROWN RICE.... my 3 year old daughter can do that... A few minutes later, I finally received my original order with CHICKEN ON BROWN RICE around 12:15...

Please, don't go there, do yourself a favor, just go somewhere else...

P.S. The white rice and waba meat I got for the first time, they just transfered it into a bowl for the online Uber eats order... I personally don't think it's right....

P. S. No wonder why there was not even a penny in the tip jar when it felt...
