We wanted donuts but ended up getting sandwiches instead because they looked really good...
So what do you expect from a donut place?
Here is what happened.
The driver dropped off the food at our door, then contacted us to let us known it arrived with a picture.
I opened the door and there was a pink bag with our items in it, including the Boba drink.
"All in the same bag?", I thought.
Weirdly, nothing spilled.
I know what you are thinking, because I was thinking the same thing. How did it not spill?
Well it was sealed well and proper, so I guess that explains it.
Anyhow, I picked up the bag and brought it in, my cat then ran across my foot tripping me...
I didn't fall.
The food was still safe!
Or so I thought.
It was then that one of my kids ran past me knocking into the bag and it fell.
Surprisingly, because the drink was solidly in a cup holder in the pink plastic bag, everything was fine, the cup holder acted as a buffer.
I know, right????!!!
Okay, so l pick-up the bag and proceeded to take it into the dining room without any more bag interference.
Safely on the table, I ripped open the bag and to my horror, the cat jumped up on the table and tried to swipe the salmon off the bagel I had just popped open.
He failed miserably.
He ended sliding off the other side of the table due to his momentum and landing on a napkin, which sent him flying.
My wife sat down at the table and looked at her food in dismay. Of course, she sat down in the wrong seat, so she was looking at the croissant with double egg and cheese I ordered.
Once that was cleared up, and she took a bite, the look on her face was horrifying.
She looked like a crazed psycho, the Lox bagel was phenomenal!
I kind of looked at my croissant sandwich in lackluster, as I now had bagel and lox envy.
Sadly and slowly, I reached my sad little sandwich to my mouth and begrudgingly bit into it.
Huge dissapointment... dissapeared!
Man that was a good sandwich!
My envy left me and we both enjoyed our food, and she loved her Coconut Pineapple...
Read moreThe ladies behind the counter were pleasant and welcoming. There was a line of about half a dozen patrons while I was there, and the line moved swiftly. This donut shop has a few small tables immediately adjacent to where customers buy donuts. I bought a dozen donuts here for the nursing staff where a family member was hospitalized. While waiting, I saw on the croissant side a chocolate chip pastry that reminded me of a cocolat pain I loved in Paris. I bought this shop’s spiral chocolate pastry. It was crispy at first bite, shattering like a patisserie croissant. Every crispy yet tender bite was delicious. I bought two, intending one for another family member. That didn’t happen, and I found the bagged pastry the next day in my car. It was just as crispy and delicious the second day. It’s hard to eat the whole pastry in one sitting because it’s about a foot long. I also got a soy latte, as almond milk was unavailable. They use good Columbian medium roasted beans, and my soy latte was excellent. That said, the donuts were average, with a skimpy, thin layer of chocolate glaze for the chocolate donuts. The chocolate cake donut needed more chocolate...
Read moreThis has been one of my favorite places to eat breakfast sandwiches and get bobba drinks! And I won't visit their establishment anymore! It was late and I was getting a drink when I saw them throw away all their left over food to the trash. Not bad food since 15 seconds before it was thrown away I was sold one of those would be trashed donuts. I made a point to tell them about donating the food, or something. They said no one has approached them to ask for their food! How about making the effort to find the place to come and get their food before is thrown away? I am in search of a new place to frequent. I hope ownership reads this and makes some changes. I will make sure I...
