El Nuevo Mariscos Tampico — Restaurant in Los Angeles

If I could give them zero stars I would. My parents and I have been coming here for well over 10 years. They've gone through many owners since but the current one is the worse one yet. First off, we got here around noon on a Sunday. It took so long for them to take our order even though the restaurant was empty. Once they took our order for drinks, it took long once again to get our drinks and to take our food order. We waited again to get our food. The food all came at different times and it was all cold. The parrillada used to be served hot with the flame still on, not anymore. The waitress also came back with an enchilada type thing saying it came with my order. I was confused but whatever I took it. I got some rancid beans and when I let the waitress know, the manager or owner came saying I was wrong and that they were not bad. Then she tried to downplay the rancid beans by saying I received an enchilada that did not belong to me. I let her know the waitress told me it was part of my plate. This lady was very defensive. Ok so they redid my plate without the beans and potatoes as a substitute. I went ahead and dug in because I was hungry. I grab my first bite of potato and notice there's a long hair wrapped all around the meat. At this point I'm mad because this is my second plate. I let the waitress know about the hair on my food and she snatched the plate from my hand, rolled her eyes and walked away. I let her know as she was leaving that I no longer wanted the plate. When paying, the manager charged us and asked me in a very rude tone if I had ate the enchilada or not. I told her I didn't order it and the waitress said it came with my order. She then asked again "did you eat it or not?" I told her I did and she wanted to charge me for it. She then said I won't charge you for it even though you ate it. This manager/owner does not know a thing about customer service! I will never again visit this establishment. I was disgusted by the food and the service. Service was prompt, and they clean up the tables well after other guests. Paper menus which is good, and limited menu so they concentrate on few dishes. The portions and size are good, the food is decent, nothing extraordinary but ok. The chips and salsa are good, really liked the chips with the lime (not the fruit) flavor. Been here 5 times this year. The service sucks. The food is hit or miss. The Cooks are different every time. They Rip the Customer off with a Fake Bar service Fee and a Debit Credit card Fee even if you pay cash. This place is definitely going out of Business and the Owners and other Customers realize it.
