Don't waste your time with the lunchtime special. Two of us arrived late for the lunch service on January 30th, and were happy to be told we could be seated (we'd heard great things about the food and we loved the decor). We were steered away from the rest of the menu and to the lunch special which we were told was a tasting menu. We should also have been told that the food for the special had been prepared hours earlier and that we wouldn't be eating freshly prepared food. I should have known when I asked the server for a recommendation for the entree course, and her response was, "Well, you can't go wrong with Pad Thai" -- not something I expect from a pricier Thai restaurant with so many reviews about interesting dishes. I did order the Pad Thai, with shrimp for an extra charge (the lunchtime special is for Pad Thai with tofu, although shrimp is offered). I received overcooked, acidic Pad Thai that had several pieces of well-cooked tofu in it -- along with five or six undercooked, rubbery shrimp just sort of stuck in the dish. At the end of the meal (I concentrated on the starter dishes), I pointed out to the server that the shrimp looked like cheap shrimp that had just been unfrozen, her response was "I'll tell the kitchen." I was ready to let most of this go because I was enjoying an afternoon out with a friend and didn't want to spend time making a fuss. UNTIL -- I looked at my receipt later that evening and realized that I had told the server to put the extra $12 of food I'd ordered (shrimp, plus Thai ice tea) on my bill. My friend and I were each paying for our $28 lunchtime special. I realized later that I'd been charged $50, not $40 (leaving a 20 percent tip on top of that, of course), for a total of $60. I mentioned this to my friend, who said I should call the restaurant and the server acknowledged making the math mistake (she had undercharged my friend), and asked how to make up for it, and I said, "Well remove the cost of the rubbery, undercooked shrimp, which is what you should have done when I raised it at lunch, considering that the restaurant presents as an upscale place." She said she couldn't do that -- that she didn't have the authority (note to management: change that policy, please!) and said she would tell a manager. After I said I'd be writing a review, she asked with a little more urgency what she could do to make it right -- and I gave her the same request, and she again said she couldn't do it. Don't...

Read moreThought this was going to be just a pretty restaurant with extraordinary decor and ordinary food, I WAS WRONG 🙅🏻♀️ This pretty restaurant actually serves pretty food with exceptional taste ☺️
First of all, I want to appreciate the decor because every corner is good looking ✨ the plates, the ceiling decoration, the beverages, the garden, everything is 😍. Staffs are also very attentive and service is top notch!
I made reservation prior to coming hereThis place gets busy during lunch time soo make sure you make yours too! 😉 I order:
Panang Neua, a slow braised bone in short rib served in Panang curry 🍛. I really enjoy this dish! I'm usually not into short rib, but this one is outstanding 🌟. The short rib is hugeee and the meat melts off the bone!! The curry is very flavorful; sweet and slightly spicy. Highly recommended ♥️
Hat Yai Chicken Rice 🐓. A very interesting dish! It comes with southern style fried chicken, a roti bread 🫓, a dipping curry, and blue rice. All the elements of this dish is good, but I'm not used to eating all of the elements all at once 😆(I guess there is like a step on how to devour it? 😂). The chicken is perfectly crunchy and juicy. Love the roti bread because it is very fresh, it is soft and crunchy at the same time. Dipping the fried chicken and the roti bread in the curry makes it even more delicious!
Crab Fried Rice 🍚. Honestly one of the best crab fried rices I've ever had! The crab meat lump is so chubby and they are very generous with it 🦀. We are not a fan of the chili sauces that come with the fried rice, but everything else on this plate is amazing! Another favorite of mine.
Volcano Cups Noodles 🍜. SPICYYYYY! This is my least fav, but my husband's most fav 😂! This dish is like a spicy and salty flavor bomb 💣. Even after eating the noodles with the plain veggies, the whole dish is still too salty for me. And I believe this noodle will be too spicy for some people.
I regret not ordering their drinks, but I'm glad that I have a reason to go back 😛 The food is kind of pricey, but they taste good. Keep up the good work, Farmhouse!
