I ordered 2 chocolate bars 2 weeks before Valentineâs Day (placed order on 1/30/21). Compartes emailed me on 2/1/21 indicating my order was âshipping soon.â I donât believe Compartes ever fulfilled my order. The USPS tracking information indicated Compartes sent pre-shipment info, but that USPS was still awaiting on the actual items. I emailed Compartes on 2/5/21, about a week after I placed the order, asking when I could expect the order to be shipped. I never received a response, so I followed up again on 2/9/21 and, again, never received a response. So I called Compartes a few days later on 2/11/21 asking about my order and the guy on the phone blamed it on USPS saying they lose things and that theyâre really overwhelmed right now with shipping. According to many other reviews, this is their signature card to play - blame on everyone but themselves. Anyways, they told me to call back on Monday 2/15 (after Valentineâs Day, which defeats the whole purpose of the chocolate bar) if my order doesnât arrive. So I called back on 2/17 asking for them to cancel my order altogether at this point. The lady on the phone again blamed USPS saying they âmisplacedâ my item. I understand things happen and Valentineâs Day is a busy time of year for chocolatiers, but I find it hard to believe USPS âlosesâ and âmisplacesâ their packages as frequently as their reviews state they do. Iâve never experienced this issue with any other small, local businesses that utilize USPS for their shipping needs. Itâs truly disappointing when companies canât be transparent, honest and own up to their own mistakes.    Read moreOrdered 8 bars of chocolate and only received 6. This wouldn't be much of a problem if they offered a partial refund or to send me the missing bars, but every attempt I've made to contact them about the problem has pretty much been ignored.
I used the "Contact Us" form on their website and never heard back. Then tried sending them a Facebook a message, which went ignored until I posted on their Facepage page saying that I needed help with an order because I didn't get everything I bought. They replied to my Facebook message but went back to ignoring me after I told them what I was missing. Oh, and they deleted my Facebook comment because I guess it made them look bad! I also tried contacting them on Twitter and the same thing happened (i.e., they DM'd me asking what the issue was, I replied, and then silence).

   Read moreI purchased the Donuts and coffee bar and I was extremely shocked as to how this chocolate has such amazing reviews. Iâm not sure if I got an off batch or a bar that was close to expiring but that chocolate bar was insipid and unpalatable. They claim to have gathered donuts from the best donut shops in LA and coffee grounds from their best coffee shops which is questionable but also rather stupid. The donut component does not make sense to me. Why would you take a perfectly good item from the âbest shops aroundâ, destroy them, and mix them with cheap and unsavory chocolate. There is no taste difference between these fancy donut crumbles and any other dried pastry. Itâs honestly a stupid idea. The coffee component was nonexistent, was never able to taste any coffee ground notes. The chocolate alone was substandard at best and the pointless and rather ludicrous addition of the donut and coffee bits added nothing. Overall, this companyâs attempt at creating something palatable and unique was futile. Just another overpriced and laughable excuse of a business. Do not waste your money on this...
