I love it! Listen here's the thing. I got two options getting coffee in this neighborhood. Option #1 I go to Starbucks that's by the Felipe Nueve Library or Option #2, I walk more than that and go all the way to Alchemist Coffee. One takes around a good 17 min of walking and the other takes 30 kin of walking. This place takes around 7 or 8 minutes of walking.
As for the coffee, I love it. They have this really nice iced mocha coffee that has a very creamy and sweet aftertaste that lingers well on your tounge so if you like that feeling I suggest get one. Their iced americano is also good too. It isn't too bitter (which is something that I find in a lot of coffee houses when I try their iced americano) so that's a great plus for me.
Their coffee house in terms of decor is pretty nice. It is a bit reminiscent of Tactile Coffee (because Tactile coffee used to be there) but I think it's still cool. I do hope that this place gets a lot of great foot traffic. I do see this place popping as COVID restrictions slowly pull off.
And shout out to the barista/owner who makes the coffee even though I always come 10 min before closing. Will try to...
Read moreIt was awesome that I could say frankly speaking, Frank's coffee was awesome! The simple small spot between West Lake and Central LA made it to my long list of good coffee in town. Love how it felt homey with few seats, friendly barista, and pretty chill ambiance.
Top recommendation would be their Frank Standard, which was sweetened latte with molasses, brown sugar and cinnamon. It might sound sweet, but worry not as everything just came at the right balance. Besides, it gave extra caffeine kick featuring double shots of espresso.
One thing (prolly most important) not to miss was their 4oz chocolate chip cookie, which was UBER GOOD!! Freshly baked in store, it was so gooey that you would likely find yourself make some mess enjoying it served warm. Deliciously buttery and packed with abundant mix of dark and milk chocolate chips! Where have I been that I just found...
Read moreI am OBSESSED with their lavender matcha! I'm usually not a fan of matcha from most places because they either make it too watery or too powdery, but Frank's texture has been THE perfect blend for me. Literally the only place I like to get my matcha from. The staff and service have ALWAYS been so welcoming. I've been so sad because I usually start school/work 6:30 and don't end until after 3:30, so I have not been able to come here for a while. But, I was finally able to come get quick drinks before my meeting today and I have been so 🥰. Ya'll don't understand how BAD I've been craving their lavender matcha for so long 😫. Also, my social battery after working with patients gets DRAINED after every shift, but every time I come here, the staff have always had vibrant energies and the small interactions...
