I had a reason for needing a physical application for the library card. I went in and went to the very front desk and the man sitting there, was very rude. He had a mean attitude and despite me having my reason for needing a physical application and card, he just kept dismissing my request for a PHYSICAL application and just kept insisting I apply online. I did apply online and I was having technical difficulties, so I decided to just get an actual card but this employee made it so difficult. I got frustrated and told him to forget about it and that he needed to work on his tone because he was very dismissive and unhelpful. He denies it and tells me that he wasnโt doing anything wrong and his coworker just silently grabbed a physical application and sort of flicked it at me across the desk.
I get it - I worked customer service so when someone is being a bit โmehโ I never say anything because I was the same too, but I came in with a bright and positive tone which he just shot down. It just makes me regret even wanting a library card again and going to another library and having to face...

I said no that cannot be right it must start somewhere else. He told me he needed to look for a book for himself and he proceeded to block the SF aisle while I searched all over for the beginning of the science fiction section.
I eventually found it but not before being inundated with the horrible smell that permeates all public libraries these days. I guess you could say I do not...

It wouldnโt be a big deal if the staff actually kept things under control, but often they donโt. For example, once two men were talking loudly to each other, and one of them even started making ramen inside the library despite the clear โNo foodโ signs. On another day, a man was eating an extremely crunchy snack that distracted everyone around, and the staff just politely asked him to stop, but of course he didnโt listen. Another time, someone broke out singing and never stopped, even after the workers casually told him to. So, in short, my experience with this library hasnโt been the...
