Place went DOWN hill. They serve dog meat (usually the case when there is no tag overhead saying what the dish is), and the place is literally called GMOs. The asian tiger restaurant is just leftovers from the last time the chefs ate at Panda Express (at least they order more than orange chicken). It's plain to see how many times they have reheated the food as the vegetables are completely wilted and burnt. this place is also home of the greasiest food. Guarantee no matter what you get, your plate will have a delicious coat of grease when you finish.
The lettuce in the salad bar is ALWAYS yellow. They must throw away all the clean looking lettuce leaves.
Side note: I also saw a mouse in the restaurant once. Take that information however you will. Personally, I was quite happy and appetized when i saw the mouse because it reminded me of ratatouille (my favorite vegan dish). However I know some would feel the complete...
Read moreThis place is weird. One day they’ll have some genuinely good food and the next it’s inedible. They also have a habit of getting rid of the best and most consistent food options - they used to have a Mexican area that would always have decent rice, beans, meat, and tortillas or chips but they removed it for some reason. Same with sushi - it wasn’t anything special but it was okay and they got rid of it.
Keep in mind, at around 4:30 pm they get rid of all the food for a half hour to prepare for dinner, which is ridiculous.
One thing that’s nice is they have a dedicated allergen free section for people with food allergies, which is great for me because I can’t have gluten. I can’t in good faith recommend you eat here though because it’s usually not very good. Last note - if you don’t go to college at CSUN, keep in mind if you go here you’ll be surrounded by college kids while you eat. It’s up to you if that’s a good or...
Read moreI received a debilitating case of food poisoning that caused a serious hit to my academic career. I don’t think I have ever emailed a professor with “I have food poisoning so bad that you need to mark me absent now.” This email was sent at 1 AM the morning of the class. Not only this but I have never been more nutritionally confused with the options of food I was given. There were three types of food available: American, Latin A, and Asian. The Asian was split into sushi and vegetables/protein/rice. The Latin A was also vegetables/protein/rice. The American was always 3 weird pizzas, burgers or hot dogs.
There’s also breakfast and lunch but I have only had the breakfast once and I’d rather go hungry then eat...
