This family run Thai food restaurant is located in the west San Fernando valley. The place is also under new ownership so if you have not been there in a while, it does look a bit different. There is metered parking in the front and free parking in the back. The staff are friendly. Itās a chill spot so you can choose to dine in or take out. There was ample sitting space so itās good for solo and group eats. Now for the food. I tried the shrimp fried rice, chicken dumplings, crab cheese and orange chicken. Out of all these the chicken dumpling was my favorite. The fried rice was ok. I probably should have requested it be a bit spicy. The crab cheese was also delicious. The orange chicken had a lotta kick of orange so if thatās your thing, youāll enjoy it. I prefer a bit more subtle hint. They had chicken satay and pork jerky which I didnāt try but it looks pretty yummy. Oh and I had the Thai tea. Thatās always a win for me so I loved that. My experience here was pleasant but next time Iāll choose something else as my main dish. Maybe the chow mein or...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreJust moved to the neighborhood and looking for my new favorite Thai spot and I FOUND IT! I ordered my 2 favorites-the Thai beef jerky with jeow and som tum or green papaya salad. Let's start with the tom sum...it's the best one I've found in the valley. Crunchy fresh and they had no problem when I asked for extra garlic, extra sauce, and only 1 Thai chili. The only part that's lacking in this salad is the website said dried shrimp but it was regular shrimp. But the salad is so good I'll just keep some on hand at home for next time. The Thai beef jerky is marinated to perfection and came with jeow that was bright spicy sweet and sour---perfectly balanced.
The service was warm and friendly, and even though I got takeout the restaurant definitely looked like a nice place to sit down and eat.
Can't wait to eat...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIt was a 5, and our go to place. Our two soups last night were not good. It was liquid with three pieces of chicken, 1, Sezchuan chili pepper, small piece of green onion. I forgot the main thing, I guess because I dont like them. 15 mushroom caps in each soup. 2nd soup was identical as far as amounts went. All i could taste was fish sauce. I paid a convenience fee, even tho I picked it up and checked the box for no utensils. Kinda bums me out.
New owners! We've been here twice now since new ownership. Portions are very good sized, full of flavor too. Server is very friendly. My Beef Panang was tasty, the Pad Kha Pao with chicken. They're was a nice amount of chicken, enough to take home for a second meal. I'd definitely tell my friends to come here, you...
