Kiku offers an authentic and delightful sushi dining experience that is sure to impress even the most discerning sushi connoisseurs. The restaurant's ambiance is warm and inviting, with a tastefully decorated interior that perfectly complements the exquisite culinary offerings.
The sushi menu is extensive and diverse, featuring a variety of both traditional and innovative rolls. The freshness of the fish is evident in every bite, and the skill of the sushi chefs is clearly displayed in the beautiful presentation of each dish. The standout for me was the chef's special sashimi platter, which was a vibrant array of fresh, high-quality seafood that was a feast for both the eyes and the palate.
The service at kiku sushi is also commendable. The staff are attentive without being intrusive, ensuring that your dining experience is comfortable and enjoyable. They are knowledgeable about the menu and are more than willing to make recommendations based on your preferences.
However, the reason for the four-star rating instead of five is the slightly higher price point. While the quality of the food and the overall dining experience justify the cost, it may not be within everyone's budget for a casual dining experience.
In conclusion, Kiku is a must-visit for sushi lovers seeking a high-quality, authentic sushi dining experience. Despite the slightly higher price point, the quality of the food, the ambiance, and the service make it well...
Read moreThis was unfortunate ! I have been here before and although the food is somewhat descent the service felt discriminatory to say the least . I called earlier to check the time of the restaurant being open and when they stop taking orders . The woman on the phone said 10:30 pm and the kitchen stops taking orders 30 min prior . Me and a friend drove nearly 40 min to the venue and arrived 9:38 only to be told they wouldn’t seat us and the kitchen is closed . When i asked Soojen what time they closed the kitchen she didn’t know what to say and unintelligently looked at her phone for what time it was to conveniently reply they just closed . That shows really poor intellect and poorly educated on the restaurants rules stated online and in their website. There were still people eating and being seated requesting food . I asked to speak to the owner or manager and she refused to even give me a name . The amount of unprofessional behavior is worrisome. Being gay and also Jewish with Hebrew tattoos openly allows me to question if that treatment is discrimination otherwise hold to your word and rules they’re advertising false information wasting...
Read moreIf you're looking for a decent sushi spot on Larchmont, you should come here. I haven't tried the other sushi spot, California Roll, so judging by appearance, Kiku looks more "authentic, appealing" from the outside. Another Korean-owned sushi spot...so I was somewhat cautious.
Came for lunch and I was delighted to be served free edamame and miso soup. The edamame lacked taste (no salt) and wasn't that warm. Maybe there's a reason why it's free? Miso wasn't too bad.
I ordered the sashimi lunch special (6 pieces of sashimi, 3 pieces of sushi and 1 spicy tuna roll). For the price,$15, I thought it wasn't too bad considering what I ordered. Factor in the freebies and the overall cost isn't bad at all. The slices of sashimi were nice and thick and you can definitely tell it's fresh.
Personally, this place doesn't have that "over-the-top" factor that makes it a great sushi restaurant. It's definitely serviceable and not a terrible idea if you're in the area and...
