This was my second time ordering from Maiz y Fuego, and once again, it did not disappoint. The food is really good, packed with flavor, and honestly, it might be the freshest Mexican food I have had in LA so far—especially at this price point. I have never visited a physical location; I have only ordered through delivery apps and online platforms. I did notice other reviewers mentioning a walk-up spot, but from what I can tell, there is no dine-in option. This humble spot has some of the tastiest Mexican food in the valley. I tried their delicious birria queso tacos with an amazing consomé. My wife tried their chilaquiles which were so good. Homemade tortilla chips, handmade tortillas, great quality meat with perfect seasoning. Their habanero salsa was perfect. Red salsa was great as well. I requested “chiles toreados” and they said they don’t usually do that. When my order was ready, they had made me the chiles. I really appreciated that extra effort they put in. Found this place by accident, and the food is terrific. My husband had fish tacos, and I had a vegetarian bowl. I wanted verde sauce, which was perfect. The bowl had authentic, fresh ingredients, not too much rice (I hate it when a bowl is 75% rice),
