Mariscos La Doña — Restaurant in Los Angeles

We used to travel from San Francisco to LA pretty often and since day one we stop in this place we love the food, the place is not fancy o classy at all but the food used to be amazing the last 2 times here the fried mojarra was raw! In the middle they took over 1 hrs to cooked our food but the worst part when the check was ready the waitress forced us to pay the 15% of tip she said is forced! And mandatory I honestly never checked my check before because the service and the food were Amazing but in this time it was absolutely ridiculous is this even legal? Cause they don’t even have a sign with this warning or how I said when you are happy you don’t even care. I don’t know if the owners are aware of this situation but definitely something to take care of or they will be losing many customers...

This place was amazing. We came in late, right as the kitchen was about to close, but they still welcomed us, sat us down, and made fresh food without rushing us. We ordered the seafood molcajete for two, and it came packed with a huge variety of fresh fish, shrimp, and other seafood. The molcajete kept everything hot all the way through the meal, and the flavors were so good from start to finish. The grilled fish was honestly the best I’ve ever had. Service was friendly, quick, and made sure we had everything we needed. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, with music and a setup that made it easy to relax and enjoy the meal. The drinks were tasty, refreshing, and fairly priced. I’ll definitely be coming back and telling all my friends...

Regarding the other location at 326 E. Pico Blvd. Yesterday a business associate friend and I walked into order food and use the wi-fi because we were having a short business meal. The girl at first didn't understand that we were planning to order food and drinks so she denied our request to use their wi-fi. I think this was because the music was too loud and after she understood she had to check with her father, (who is apparently the owner) for permission to give us wi-fi access. Her father refused to allow us to use the wi-fi even as we were going to order food and drinks. This was terrible service. I would strongly recommend not to come here because of the lack of customer service - professional...
