The manager had me and my significant other waiting 30 mins outside the building g as we couldn't enter the hostel til after 3 pm. He did not show us around the hostel and left us to our own devices. The room was overcrowded with 4 bunk beds 1 bunk bed blocking the door to the balcony which is not suitable if there was a fire as the escape route has been blocked.
The bed sheets were dirty and had stains on which is very unhygienic, and the bed sheets didn't get cleaned during our 2-week stay there. I was supposed to be there for longer but decided not to stay longer. My significant other didn't have sleep that much as people kept talking, and slamming doors in the middle of the night, and as there were 8 people confined to 1 room it got hot as there was no air conditioning and a few people kept shutting the damn doors and the windows making us even more hotter. We need ventilation circulating the rooms as people are unhygienic in there as it is.
The sink was blocked in the shower for weeks, and the toilet was blocked as well for a couple of days. Everyone in the hostel was unhygienic and dirty. The kit hen facilities were atrocious, don't be fooled by the nice pictures they put up which were probably taken years ago. The oven was dirty and so were the cutlery, pots and pans. The cupboards were filthy and the fridge was worse. Everyone's food was cross contaminated and I asked one of the staff in there if could I use the Hoover (vacuum) and he said I quote "It's only for the stairs" 🤨
The only good thing was we got to wash and dry our clothes for free. Everyone in there was rude, mean and nasty. I'll never stay in this place or a hostel ever again.
As a first-time visitor to Los Angeles, I did expect more, I am very...

I booked two single beds in a 4-bed room with a shared bathroom for 14 nights, from October 10 to October 24.
Negative experiences: • Communication was very difficult. It was hard to get in touch with the hostel, and we had to wait outside the door for a long time upon arrival. The only way to contact them is via email or phone, but without internet or a local SIM card, it is almost impossible. • The first two nights were very noisy. Other guests were going in and out of the room, opening and closing doors loudly, which disturbed our sleep. • During our absence (over ten nights), when we returned late at night, the cleaning staff started cleaning, which disturbed our rest. • The bedroom was not clean, the bathroom was dirty, and there was no toilet paper (they do not provide any). • Security is very poor. The bedroom door cannot be locked properly, and valuables can easily go missing. Several neighbors also complained about theft problems. • The hostel lacks an information desk or staff you can contact when needed. Some people smoke drugs, and it often smells around the house. • The beds are uncomfortable, especially the ones on the upper floor, and it feels like you might fall off. • Internet/Wi-Fi worked very poorly and was very slow. • The common living room had poor furniture and no working TV.
Positive aspects: • The location is good, close to the city center. • Free parking is available around the house. • There is a shared kitchen which was fairly clean.
Summary: For a short stay (1–2 nights), the price might be acceptable, but for a longer stay, I would definitely not recommend this hostel. It is noisy, poorly cleaned, unsafe for valuables, and the owner seems uninterested in...

This hostel was a disaster from start to finish. Check-in is handled only via email or text, which is already odd, and their process is so rigid and unhelpful that I ended up stranded outside the building, alone in an unfamiliar city, despite having my valid ID and the reservation under my name. They demanded irrelevant documents from someone who wasn’t even in the country yet, refused to send access codes, and left me to wait until late at night to enter.
Once inside, the situation worsened. The environment felt unsafe and neglected. We found our backpacks tampered with, zippers opened – and this in a dorm without lockers. The lack of basic security meant we had to carry our belongings everywhere and pay extra for storage around the city.
Cleanliness was non-existent. Bathrooms were dirty, toilet paper often missing, and nothing appeared to be cleaned regularly. The facility clearly accommodates long-term residents in difficult circumstances, not travelers, despite being marketed as a backpacker hostel. The reality doesn’t match the description – it’s misleading at best.
We were downgraded from a 6-bed dorm to an overcrowded 8-bed room without explanation. The Wi-Fi didn’t work, and when I flagged it, staff showed zero interest in resolving the issue.
This place is chaotic, unsafe, unprofessional, and unsanitary. I’ve stayed in dozens of hostels across the world, and this one is by far the worst. Don’t be fooled by the photos or the marketing –...
