Patra's Charbroiled Burgers — Restaurant in Los Angeles

Once a great alternative to the rivaling fast food giants, is now a dump! Dimly lit on the inside, can lights hanging 2" from their recessed trim, black soot streaks on the ceiling from the air-vents. Wires tacked all across the walls and ceiling leading to the video cameras, caution tape across one portion of the dining area...not sure if the seat or table is broken, or did the homicide investigators forget to clean-up? The bathroom is a single porto-potty out at the edge of the parking lot, good luck washing your hands. Speaking of hands...black greasy hand prints on some of the walls. No napkins in this joint. None with my food order, none at the counter, just non-existant. Just a big ketchup squirted, and salt shakers at some of the tables. Food: I tried the steak sandwich combo with fries & soda. The steak was (No exaggeration)as thin as a slice of American cheese. The fries & soda were ok, though it may take me the whole day to finish the 32oz size diet coke, so I took it with me. My guess is that they probably ran out of medium sized cups, seeing that they were out of napkins. Sad, considering that my first burger and fries were from the Patra's on Sunset some 40+ years ago, back when one owner, owned both restaurants. Time to shut the doors...

Pros: I ordered a cheeseburger combo. It was pretty good. All burgers are 1/4 lb and up per the owner. He was very nice. There is a Jamie Oliver Menu Healthier versions of burgers and others that I didn’t realize until after I received my meal. Too bad. I would’ve loved to try these.

Cons: Lots of empty tables, but not one was clean. I had to ask twice for someone to clean a table for us. Staff: Not so nice. I walked to the counter to order and the young lady standing there did not acknowledge me and walked away. Walked to an older woman at the register got the same results. A man who seemed to be the owner finally helped us. Very gracious.

I ordered a refill of iced tea. The first woman gave me the wrong drink, I returned it with my complaint and the older woman gave me the wrong drink as well. Smh. I guess threes a charm.

Also this place needs a serious update. The bathroom is disgusting as well as I saw what appeared to be mold on the ceiling above the drive thru window. A coat of paint inside both areas would’ve made me give this place a 4 Star rating. But the staff,...

I'll start with a positive, the employees are very nice, and friendly, and not in a fake/pushy way. And I've only ordered from here twice and i got a veggie burger twice, and only because i was in the area and had time to kill and was really hungry. But it's not good. The burger comes with ketchup, romaine lettuce, tomato(maybe, actually i cant remember). and unless you specify you want something else as your side, it comes with coleslaw. There is a reason that no other restaurants serve coleslaw, no one i know likes it. The burgers i got were seriously lacking flavor, the texture was off. Don't get me started on the "Avocado sauce" its nasty. I hate when a place charges extra for avocado, but it turns out to just be this green tangy liquid, that has neither the texture, or flavor of avocado. You shouldn't be able to call something it isn't, and this sure...
